Dark Corner of the Common Room

Because all the other places are occupied.


Severus sits down in the dark evil emo corner and pulls out his parchment. Even though he's in the emo corner he's happy.

Coming into the common room from wandering the halls, Pansy skirts around the edge of the room to avoid the noisy third years by the fireplace. She nearly tripped over Severus before she saw him, but luckily caught herself in time. "Hey, Sev. What're you doing over here?"

Severus looked up and was surprised to see Pansy, who he hadn't spoken to since he yelled at her. "Hey Pansy! How're you? I'm just doing a paper for McGoogles."

"Oh, yeah. I should start that." She sat down beside him and leaned up against the wall. "But I'm alright, I guess. How've you been? Things with Lils still kickin?"

"Er, we went through a rough patch after your party, but we're okay now. More than okay. We're great. She- she said she loves me too," he said with a grin and hugged Pansy out of happy. "Yeah, that bit wasn't good though- er, she uh, found out I slept with Cissa. And when she got to the party I was kinda drunk and me and Cissa were- well, you get the idea," he said.

Pansy nodded understandingly as he explained about them having issues but being okay now. She smiled and hugged him back as he excitedly talked about her saying she loved him. But as soon as the words "slept with Cissa" left his mouth, she let go and leaned back. "What, WHAT? When was this? How did I miss this?" She wondered how removed she'd really been from her friends these past few weeks, and wondered if it was herself to blame, or Blaise, who tended to keep her rather busy.

Severus laughed at Pansy. "Did I not mention that? Oh Merlin, that was ages ago, like at least a month or two ago. One of the Slytherin parties. I, uh, got really drunk... she wasn't, though. I was kind of an asshole actually. I didn't realize I was her first... and I kinda just disappeared overnight," he said, feeling insanely guilty about it again. "That's why I took her to the ball. To make up for that."

[Sorry, I'd left to get dinner.]

"No, you hadn't," she laughed. "Well at least you've made up for it I suppose. And I'm guessing you're friends even after it all if Lily saw you together at the party. Hey, sorry I sort of disappeared on you there. You were busy, and I was busy..." she drifted off, not sure if she was happy or disappointed at the memory.

"Yeah. We've become quite good friends, actually. Spent a lot of time with her lately, 'cause you've been busy, I guess," he said a little sadly. "She's the reason I told Lily in the first place. She's beenn trying to help me win her over. Which is why this whole thing is so stupid. I just feel so, so, so stupid for what happened at the party. I mean, I guess a part of me just forgot that- that- I have her now. I can't do what I normally do. Which, I suppose, would be get depressed, then get drunk and fuck and fight. I have a real knack for those things, don't I?" he said with a bitter laugh.

"Yeah, sorry I haven't exactly been around much. Guess I've been..." with Blaise all the time. But she didn't finish the sentence. She laughed as he talked about his usual drunkenness. "That's true. But sometimes you can't change who you are just because of one person... even Lily. She's going to have to realize that's a part of you, even if it is just the drunk part of you," Pansy laughed.

Regulus walks in, before he leaves to see Viktor. He sits on the couch, lost in thoughts of him and his lover, admiring his ring.

[CORMAC OR DEE OR SCORP CAN TOTALLY SHOW UP HERE. ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER.]

Cissa sees Reg in the dark corner and knows how awkward this will be, AS IS EVERY ENCOUNTER BETWEEN THEM. MY GOD. She smiles, though, and sits next to him. "Hey, Reg!" she chirps. "What's that you got there?"

[OMG SORRY. I AM HERE NOW.]

Dee skips in, looking for something to do.

Regulus is startled by Narcissa and is glad he chose the dark corner so she can't see how thin and gaunt he's become. "Hey, Narcissa," he says with a smile. He realizes she's talking about the ring and panics inwardly for a moment before saying- "Oh, it was a gift from my, uh, girlfriend," he said with a smile, showing off his pretty ring that Eowyn lost the link to.

"Ooh, girlfriend?!" Narcissa says, playfully nudging Regulus. "How's that going?"

"Wonderfully," he said with a grin, wishing his Viktor was here. "How's my favorite cousin doing?"

[OKAY BYE. NO ONE LOVES ME.]

Narcissa smiled at the 'favorite cousin' bit and waved at Dee. "I've been good. Just doing the usual, really. Gee, I haven't talked to you in ages, it seems, and yet I can't think of anything to tell you!" she said, thoughtfully. "That's a gorgeous ring, though. Your girlfriend must have good taste!" And wear the pants in the relationship, if she's giving the jewelry.

Dee waves back and sits a table a few feet away, not knowing if she should interrupt or not.

EOWYN DIDN'T SEE DEE'S POST OMG. SO SORRY.


Regulus sees Dee and smiles, waving her over. Eowyn thinks it would be REALLY funny if Cissa assumed Dee was his girlfriend still because she was the last time they talked and it would be hilarious so Cissa should totally assume that and make a comment about it. "It really is nice," he said with a smile, looking at Dee with concern as he still thinks she's pregnant.

[EOWYN...FLEUR SAID TO POST SOMEWHERE AS SIRIUS SO THAT SHE CAN TELL YOU ABOUT GOING TO PROM WITH JAMES. SHE'S USING HER PHONE SO THE POSTS MAY NOT BE QUITE AS FAST...YA KNOW? OKAY...THAT IS ALL. RESUME]

Cissy DOES still think that and smiles at the two knowingly. Or, apparently knowingly. Anyways, she waggles her eyebrows and leans over to Dee. "Hey, you're Dee!" she said with a smile. "I love this ring! It's GORGEOUS."

Regulus facepalms. "Er, Cissa- Dee's NOT my girlfriend anymore," he said, trying to explain while he's blushing and feeling insanely awkward because Dee DOES know who his "girlfriend" is right now. He quickly shoves his hand back in his pocket. "The ring is from my, er, current girlfriend," he said loudly, praying to Merlin that Dee wouldn't say something to give things away.

"Yep. That ship has sailed away. Sailed to the other side of the harbor." She headdesks at the terrible analogy.
