The Trophy Room

[Ooh! First person to roleplay in the thread! YESS. XD]

Padma wandered down to the trophy room, wondering if there were any pictures of cute boys that had won Quidditch trophies. Sadly, there were just a bunch of polished trophies. No, Dom, that was not meant in a dirty way. She looked at one large silver trophy that was labeled "Tom Marvolo Riddle". Ooh. Riddle sounded like a nice last name. Padma Riddle. Hmm. She'd have to think about that one.

Dem was walkibng a long the corridor when she happened to pass the trophy room. She saw someone in there so she decided to go inside. When she got in she saw it was Padma. "Hi Padma! I haven't seen you for ages! How was your summer?"

"Hey, Dem!" Padma exclaimed, giving her friend a quick hug. "My summer was awesometastic... and yours?"

"It was pretty good." Demelza said. "So, what are you doing in the trophy room? People don't usually come here very often."

[Thats ok.]

Padma shrugged. "I wanted to see if there were pictures of the people who had gotten trophies in the past," she said, looking at Tom's trophy. "And I guess I don't come here very often..." She grinned. "It's kinda cool, to see new parts of the castle, isn't it? Well, I mean, this isn't new, but it might as well be new, because I don't come here very often. Er, I said that already." She giggled.

Demelza giggled. "Yeah I think you might have. Who's trophy are you looking at?" Demelza went over to look at the trophy that Padma seemed really interested in.

"Some kid named Tom Riddle," Padma said, gesturing to the trophy. "It says 'Services to the School'. I wonder what he did..." She giggled. Maybe he set Hogwarts up with the giant squid. "What do you have to do to get one of those awards, anyways, I wonder?" she asked.

"I don't know. Maybe you have to like, save the school or or a teaher or a student or something really brave." Demelza said, wondering what he had done to get an award for special services to the school.

Padma nodded slowly, still lost in a bit of a reverie. "I'll bet he was a Gryffindor," she added. "Only Gryffindors seem to risk their lives for situations that could turn out wrong." She smiled at Dem, then added hastily, "I'm sure you're not one of those Gryffindors, though, or you wouldn't be my friend."

"Well, I sure hope I'm not one of those type of Gryffindors. I mean I would for sure help someone in danger if they needed help, but I'm not the sort of person who just saves and helps people all the time for attention and just to get noticed."

"Yeah, no kidding!" Padma exclaimed. "I mean, it's one thing to save a friend in danger, but another thing to do something really stupid. Especially if you might end up dying." She nodded seriously, thinking of Harry, who used to be her BFF in 1.0. It seems so long ago.

"Yeah, I wouldn't want to end up dying. Have you been up to anything lately?" Demelza asked starting a new conversation because the last converstion really had no way of moving forward from the point that it had gotten up to.

That's certainly true. "Not much," Padma admitted. "I haven't even, like, seen any cute guys! I mean, what's wrong with this school if I haven't even found cute guys yet? I need to find some Ravenclaw boys or something. And, I've only seen a few Ravenclaws and you. Oh well. I've had a fun year, so far." She grinned, not wanting to complain about the lack of boys to Dem. "Anything you've done here that's been exciting?"

Demelza giggled at Padma talking about not finding a cute guy. The term had just started after all! "I haven't really done anything much. The school year has just started after all!"

"Eh, true," Padma laughed. "It's not too early to begin overachieving!" She hoisted an imaginary sword in the air and pretended to knock down Tom's trophy. "Oops!" she giggled, and pretended to set it right again. Good grief, what was she, a two-year-old?

Demelza laughed at Padma's imaginary sword fighting. "Have you seen any cute guys yet?" Demelza asked Padma.

"Nah," Padma sighed sadly. "In fact... I should look for some." She nodded, and then looked at the time and exclaimed, "MERLIN'S PANTS! If I don't go soon, I'll be late for Charms! And that's the last thing I want to do in the first week... I'm really sorry, but I guess I've gotta run, Dem. I'll see you soon, definitely! BYE!" With that, she runs out to grab her book bag and then proceed to Charms.

"Ok Bye!" She said to Padma as she was leaving. "I hope to catch up soon!" She then looked at her schedule and realised that if she didn't get moving she would be late for divination, so she quickly grabbed her bag and ran out of the room.

Luna is in here because she figured this is a good place to come be alone as she plans a way to make sure Percy gets sick or something, so he doesn't have to go on that stupid date with the love of her life.

Caradoc is wandering by because I feel like he'd wanna check this place out anyway, and smiles when he sees Luna. "Hey there, Luna! How's it going?"

Luna smiles when she sees Caradoc, and shrugs because she's not sure how it's going, really. Stupid Percy asking Hermione on a date that she doesn't want to go on. "I'm okay. What about you?"

"I'm awesome! What's going on? Oh, did I ever get to tell you, I loved that issue of the Quibbler you gave me! It was fantastic, best gillyweed experience of my life, I gotta tell you. Did you really say you were going to look for Crumple-Horned Snorcacks? That's so cool!" he said excitedly, grinning like a loon.

Luna's face lights up and greams. Woah. She's probably going to look like this all day because that is one of the best things she has ever heard in her entire life. "You did!? That's great! I knew you would like it! And yes! My dad and I went this summer to look for them! In Sweden!" she exclaims excitedly, resisting the urge to flail about and such.

"That's amazing, Luna! I wish I were there," he said happily, hugging his Luna-bear. Aww. "So how've you been, since we talked? I talked to Tristan, he's willing to do the band! He just wants to meet you, first, I think you'll get along great. You're both adorable and shy, for one thing," he laughed, playing with her hair in a friendly way.
