Lily leaned happily into the kiss, wrapping her arms around him to pull them a bit closer. She loved the feel of his hand on her neck, his lips on hers. She was reluctant to kiss him as fiercely as she wanted to...she'd found someone she could love, who loved her. They had time though, this was the most wonderful thing. Her enthusiasm surprised herself, it really was so sudden...but still so wonderful.

Severus felt as though he'd fallen down the rabbit hole, into some twisted alternate dimension. For once in his life, he had finally gotten what he wanted, and Merlin, he'd always wanted this. He vaguely wondered if it was possible that this was, in fact, reality, and that by some miracle he really was sitting here, with Lily Evans' lips on his, her arms around him, pulling him closer. Reality or not, he was enjoying every second of this blissful existence, and it was with utmost reluctance that he finally pulled away, wrapping her in a tight hug.

Lily smiled and hugged him tightly back, burying her face in his shoulder. She pulled back after a few moments, grinning slightly as song lyrics came into her head from a Muggle song. Hm..how does that go? Da da da...it feels so right so hold me tight, tell me i'm the only one, and then..i might, never be the lonely one so, hold me tight, tonight, tooonight it's youuuu, you you youuu ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh. Something like that. Funny, I don't think i've even heard that song much. But it fits. I'm here...with my Sev. She looked up at his face, his eyes, and moved a hand to play with a lock of the long, dark, hair that fell around his face. "Are you happy, Sev? You deserve to be. "

[That is NOT a song that I typically listen to...but those lyrics fit sort of perfectly.

Severus laughed at the ridiculousness of her question. "Lily, I didn't think it was even possible to feel as happy as I do right now," he said, smiling and gazing at her with adoration. "I've been waiting and hoping all my life for this moment."

Lily grinned at his happiness, expression...at everything. "Aw, well then...what will you wait for now?" Her gaze fell on him, his face, arms, body...and eyes filled with joy and happiness that made her want to hug him and kiss him and never let go.

Severus grinned back at her. "I have no idea. I already have everything I've ever wanted," he said, taking her hand in his. "I suppose I'll just spend my time waiting for the next time I get to kiss you."
