The Library

*goes bright red at the thought* Oh Merlin no.... yes, that settles it. I'll write them now and hope that by the time Summer rolls around, they've gotten used to the idea and I'll be spared the talk! Or maybe I'll find a way to not go home for the Summer at all! Though I do miss them, I never see them as it is!

"Right? Maybe if I mention it casually..." She shook her head. "Nothing is going to stop them..."

[*remembers sending Remus to the owlery at least twice so far to write home...He's mentioned Hermione but has avoided mentioning the sex thing so far.* hahahahaha]

[*Hermione has avoided writing home at all costs... might go do a letter home later just for the lulz*]

*gives Nikki a sympathetic look*
Hey, maybe you and I can pool our resources and hide out in Hogsmeade this Summer then?

"I think I could get a lovely park bench with my resources."

Well, I'm sure I could afford a cardboard box - between the bench and the box we've got the makings of a great fort to start with.

"Oh, and maybe if we have a bake sale, we could afford a blanket for the roof of our fort! This sounds like a plan." Nikki giggled quietly.

*breaks into giggles* Brilliant! And I can knit us a floor rug if I start now! Hmm, I'm not much of a gardener though, so raiding the greenhouses to make ourselves a nice yard will be your job, if you don't mind?

[hahaha i love you two! *hugs*]

"Okie-dokie! Can you cook? I can do basic things... like toast."

[*hugs back* I think I'm gonna actually write a really long letter home from Hermione and everything will be like this and then the final product will be like two lines, just for laughs ]

*huge grin* I'm a whiz with fruit loops!

"I love Fruit Loops! Those are delicious. I think this summer plan has serious potential." Nikki could barely restrain herself from giggling loudly. It wouldn't do to giggle loudly in the library.

Excellent! And on Sundays, I even extend myself to Coco Puffs.

*She has to put her hand over her mouth to hold in the giggles, she really wouldn't want to disturb anyone else studying*

"Do you drink the left over milk afterwards? Because it is deliciously chocolaty!" Nikki actually wanted to try living like this. It seemed like it would be fun.

Nikki nodded. "My mom doesn't do it, " she whispered, obviously deeply upset by the blasphemy.

-walks in and starts reading-

*looks scandalized* Nikki that's terrible! Your mother does not deserve to have Coco Puffs!

Nikki looked even more scandalized, and continued. "And... and... when she eats an oreo, she eats it in one bite. She doesn't take it apart and eat the cookie and dip it in milk, and then eat the icing, and then the cookie. She just pops it in her mouth and eats it."

*Hermione shakes her head.*

No. No, that settles it - you can't go back to that house. You'll have to stay in our fort this Summer. It's for your own good!

Nikki gave Hermione a wide smile. "You are the best!" She gave her a quick hug.

[I'm dying here, picturing Ken and the Cookie Monster - it's almost as bad as Barbie & Ken smutting up the Room of Requirement.... ]

*Hermione grins and hugs Nikki back, feeling like she's made a new friend*
