The Trophy Room

Fred peered out from his hiding spot behind a trophy case (which wasn't a very good hiding spot, seeing as they're made of GLASS!) and heard the voice of a very pissed off girl. Unfortunately, she wasn't Ravenclaw. Also unfortunately, she was very good looking. "Um... Hi...!" He said, getting off of the floor and walking over to the door. "Erm... Terribly sorry about that, you see, I was really hoping that would fall on a certain Slytherin who may or may not have been tipped off that one of his most valuable possessions was in this room, and he should've been coming to get it right around now, and I was just hanging about, hoping to see this plan in action. I really didn't mean for it to fall on you..." Although she did look a bit funny, soaking wet and fuming.

Gwen crossed her arms over her chest, never a good sign. "So this is how you greet people you've never met? Did it ever occur to you that other people would come wandering into this room to look at the trophies? Hmm?" Gwen gave the boy a once over. He was tall and slightly gangly with the most ginger hair she'd ever seen and a splattering of freckles. He wasn't bad looking. But he was annoying and in her book, annoying trumped all.

"Er... No, it didn't. I mean, who wants to look at hunks of gold, silver, and bronze?" Fred didn't. It was boring. Except now he was in for it... He really hated it when girls got mad at him. He bowed. "If it pleases you, your highness, I shall walk you to the kitchens, where we shall be given a fluffy towel and all the cream puffs our hearts desire and you can scream at me there, but I would rather not stick around here, in case the certain, unnamed Slytherin chances to walk in." Fred prefers not to encounter him in person.

Gwen may be very mad at Fred but a trip to the kitchens was appealing to even the most uppity Ravenclaw. "Alright, if that's your way of making an apology, I have to accept." Besides she was in the mood for a brownie.

Fred swept another bow, flourishing excessively, and gallantly offered his arm to Gwendolyn and they went off to the kitchens. Hurrah!
