Boy's Dormitory 5 (Tom, Evan)

Marcus clears his throught outside of the door to remind Penny he is still there so she'll leave and then Mya can get some work done.

He shudders for effect. Which is like the closest he's ever come to making a joke.

she laughed "sure. right. erm. sorry about that again. we were a little uhh caught up in the moment..." she jumped a bit when she heard Marcus clear his throat and whirled around

It's Marcus' lucky day, because Evan is so busy shuddering that he doesn't hear Marcus clearing his throat. Because Lenore needs to do work, so Evan is not allowed to notice Marcus right at this second. Instead he rolls his eyes, attributing Penny's jumpiness to the awkward whale of a conversation they're having.

"Yeah, yeah. Now get out of here, little sis. Things to do, you know."

she glared playfully "sure Evan. we all know you have an important coloring date" she smirked and looked back at Marcus, pleading with him not to enter. she would be leaving soon enough

He rolls his eyes and shoves her lightly towards the exit.

"You're askin' for it, Pen. See you 'round, eh?"

she fake pouts "yea yea yea, see you around Evan." she laughs and runs out, grabbing Marcus by the arm and taking him back to the common room.

Scowling at her back, wishing she had better taste in blokes, Evan turns to his trunk. He unlocks it, pulls out a long robe and throws it over his shoulder. He turns and stalks silently out of the dorm, his left forearm burning.

[LOL SUCH A DEATH EATER! HAHA]

Evan walks into the dorm, showers, and falls into bed. I just couldn't be arsed coming up with a creative or witty way to say that, so, there it is.

Evan is here, reading Busty and Bewitched a Dark Arts book.

[HAH. BUSTY AND BEWITCHED. HE SO WOULD. HAHAHAHAHA *dies*]

Penny walked up the stairs tentatively to her brother's dorm. she hesitated outside the door, trying to work up the courage to talk to him. she pulled her collar up a bit higher and her long sleeves over her hands to hide the bruises. she knocked on the door and pushed it open a little "Evan?" she whispered

Evan looks up from his spot, sitting on his bed with his back against the headboard. A little voice in the back of his head whispers that Penny is NEVER this quiet, but he brushes it aside. Maybe she's finally learning to keep her trap shut. He waves her over.

"What is it, Pen?"

she took small, tentative steps into the dorm. "I uh. well umm...i don't really know how to say this. or what to say..." she looked down at her feet

Evan frowns, sitting up a little straighter and tossing his book aside. She must've done something wrong to be this worried. If she's gone and gotten herself knocked up for real... His fists clench unconsciously.

"Stop snivelling and spit it out, little sister."

she flinched a little "well. I-I woke up outide this morning. with no clothes. and bruised pretty badly..." she refused to look at him and simply pushed back her sleeves to show him the first of the bruises on her wrists

Evan bolts upright. He reaches out and snatches up Penny's hand to inspect her wrist, turning it over in his hands. His eyes darken and his face goes blank with rage.

"Who the fuck did this?" he grinds out.

[PRESENT! I mean, what?]

she flinched harder this time as Evan grabbed at her wrists. she gulped and pulled down her collar, revealing more bruises and bite marks. "I-I don't know Ev...I can-can't remember anything..." she looked down, knowing Evan would think of her as a complete failure for not being able to defend herself

Evan growls in rage, taking a few steps away from Penny because he has the urge to hit something, and his kid sister is already covered in bruises. He shoves a hand through his hair. He'd said it all along - she was too naive, too soft for her own good, and now....

"FUCK! HOW COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN?" he demands, talking to himself. Why the fuck had he even come back if he couldn't even do his damned job and look out for her?

[There's this curse, see, it's called the Imperius Curse. Quite effective. But she broke through it, so it was somewhat consensual.]

Penny shrank back from Evan at his outburst, believing it was directed at her "I-I'm sorry Evan..." she knew he wouldn't be happy. this was foolish. and only going to get her into more trouble.

Not really thinking about the fact that he was hurting her with both his words and his actions, he grabs Penny's shoulders and shoves her to sit on the bed. He starts pacing up and down, still growling and running his hands through his hair. All he could really focus on was finding the sonofabitch who hurt her and making them pay. Whoever it was would beg for death by the time Evan was through.

"Fucking hell! You shoulda been on your goddamn guard! Think, Pen, think. Use the little brain in that head o' yours. Who'd ya talk to yesterday? What happened before you can't remember anything?"

Penny winced as he shoved her on the bed "I-I don't know! I mean, I was talking with the girl Parvati at the lake and then we walked back up to the castle. the next thing i knew we were both waking up outside, her missing her top, me completely...naked..." she gulped "we both freaked out, not being able to remember anything, and ran back to the castle"

"What sort of name is Parvati?" Evan mutters to himself as he continues to pace. "Can't believe you let this happen - could you be any fuckin' stupider?"

He lets out a rough sigh, turning to look at her. He was trying his best not to let the implications of the way Penny had woken up and the very specific bruises and bites she was sporting enter his brain. He's minutes away from losing it as it is.

"No drinkin' or nothin'? Didn't accept anything from anyone, so we know for sure it ain't a potion?"

Penny strained to hear what Evan was saying under his breath, but couldn't. as she watches him pace back and forth and then continue to question her, she feels like a little kid again, and not necessarily in a good way. "No. i swear. i promise i wasn't drinking, and i didn't take any weird drinks from people i don't know"
