Outside the Great Hall

"It means he swallowed another love potion, and fell in love with Padma."

"Jeez, you'd think he'd figure out what a love potion looks like," he says. "He and Padma are best friends, aren't they? I'm sure that went down really well with her boyfriend." Colin paused, knowing full well his reaction if someone fell in love with Milli - other than himself. "We certainly don't need one." He grinned and ran a hand through her hair.

"That's what Padma said," Milli giggled. "Harry ended up snapping out of it, but Andrew did punch him. After I froze him. It wasn't really a good night for Harry..." she trailed off. "And no, we do not need a love potion." Milli smiled.

Colin laughed a little. "I feel bad for him and all, don't get me wrong," he said quickly, "but it's rather funny, hearing about it. He can't be that daft, surely?" He grinned, then leaned in and kissed her.

"He's not daft," she assured him, then leaned into the kiss.

Colin hugged her tightly, still kissing her, then pulled back and said, "Well, he must be daft if he missed someone like you." He smiled.

Milli pouted when Colin pulled out of the kiss. "You know, sometimes I think that you're too good for me."

"Me?" Colin asked, somewhat surprised. "Too good for you? No, no, dear, I think it's the other way around." He grinned and did another one of his cool-guy hair flips.

"No, I'm the desperate bitch, remember?" Milli laughed as Colin flipped his hair.

"Hey!" Colin said, a little angrily. "Don't call yourself that!" He put his hand directly on her cheek. "Promise me not to say derogatory things about yourself? You can say all you want about me, though," he added jokingly, but with a serious face.

"Fine. I promise. And I couldn't say anything bad about you even if I wanted to."

Milli didn't seem convincing enough, but Colin figured that words meant more than actions, except when it came to hugging and kissing, so he took her word for it. "Good," he said, grinning. "Although, it doesn't hurt to hear a few criticisms every once in a while, I suppose. Just not by myself. I used to be that way," he added, reflective. "But then I stopped being like an annoying child and became the awesome dude I am today!" He grinned, spreading his arms out wide.

"Yes, you are very amazing," Milli said, rolling her eyes.

"So are you, of course," Colin added hastily. "Why else d'you think I stuck around to talk to you?" He laughed.

"Maybe for this?" Milli kisses Colin again, pulling him close to her, threading her fingers through his hair.

Colin smiles through the kiss, loving the feel of her fingers in his hair. It was definitely a good idea to grow out his hair. He broke the kiss just for a moment to whisper "I love you" before kissing her again, putting one arm around her neck and one hand in her hair.

[EEP WHAT'S GOING ON? MILLI ARE YOU THERE?]

Milli broke the kiss and stared up at Colin. "Do you mean that?" she asked, completely serious.

Colin stared directly into her eyes for a moment. "Of course I do," he said, puzzled. "Why would I say it if I don't mean it?" Her reaction wasn't exactly what he'd thought it might be. Don't boyfriends and girlfriends tell each other they love the other person? Wait. Did that even make sense? His old hyper self was beginning to question his new cool self.

"I don't know, you don't think it's a little early for that?"

Colin shrugged. "Well... feelings are there, regardless of your age, right?" He smiled, wondering how he could have done something so clearly wrong.

[Aww. I've gotta go. PAUSE!]

"I wasn't talking about age," Milli said, uncomfortable.

Colin backed away. What had happened? "I've gotta go," he said quickly, then briskly walked outside. How had this gone so drastically wrong? Wasn't he supposed to say stuff like that?

Milli literally headwalled. She had screwed everything up-but she was so confused. She headed off in some general direction with a very confuzzled expression.
