Outside the Great Hall

Demelza walks down the stairs near the great hall and spots someone she has seen around before, but never met. She decides to go over and introduce herself. "Hi there, i don't believe we have met before. I'm Demelza."

Harry turns around and stops looking stupid. Yay. "Hi!" Harry says enthusiastically, like the scene in HBP where he takes Felix Felicis. That scene makes me giggle. Anyways. "I'm Harry - Harry Potter," he tells Demelza, holding out a hand.

Demelza shakes Harry's hand. "It's nice to meet you Harry. What were you looking at just before I came?" Demelza asked Harry.

"Er, the statue," Harry said, gesturing to the large bronze guy in the room. "I've always wondered why he held Hogwarts in his hand. And then why he held a scroll in the other. Kind-of weird, isn't it? Hogwarts was founded by four people, not one, and I didn't think Parliament was involved..."

Demelza looked up at the statue Harry was talking about. "Yeah it sort of is weird that its only one person. Theres probably some secret meaning behind everything about the statue that we don't know about."

"Probably," Harry agreed. "Hermione might know. She reads Hogwarts, A History. I don't." He laughed. "So which House are you in?"

"I'm in Gryffindor. What about you?"

"Same here!" Harry exclaimed enthusiastically. Well lookee here, somebody's had his Elixir of Euphoria today. "I can't believe I've never seen you around! Are you on the Quidditch team?"

"No, unfortunatley I'm not. I wanted to try out but I slept in that day and totally forgot about the trials. Next time theres some trials I'll make sure I don't forget about them."

"Oh, that sucks!" Harry said. "I tried out, and I thought I was fairly good, but Viktor Krum beat me out. Well," he adds, "nobody's better than Viktor Krum. So I'm OK with that. He's a pro! Gah, now I'm sounding like a fanboy." He shakes his head. "I'm not Colin Creevey, thank goodness."

"Maybe next time you will make the team. Anyway, what year are you in?"

"Er..." Harry pauses while I take a moment to think this out because I don't recall what year Harry is in. In fact, I don't think he was ever put in a year. Oh, wait, it says right underneath his profile thingy. But finally, it isn't my fault! YUSSSS! Oh, right, he's pausing.. umm. "Sixth. You?"

"I'm a fifth year."

"Ooh, O.W.L. year," Harry said immediately, giving an involuntary shudder. "And how's that working for you?" He winked.

"It's alright. Theres lots of hard work, but I'm keeping up, studying hard. I really want to do well in the exams. How did you go last year?"

"Not as bad as I thought," Harry admitted. "I even managed an 'Outstanding'. Failed Divination and History of Magic, but that was it... I think..." He scratched his head, looking carefree.

"Oh, thats good. Are you enjoying your sixth year at Hogwarts?"

"Yeah," Harry said vaguely, "it's... been interesting. A lot of homework, but nothing I can't do at the last minute, I guess." He grinned and added, "Not that I'm encouraging you to do work at the last minute. It's a bad habit of mine that got started in first year and just kept on becoming a bigger problem as I got older."

"At least you got it done, even if it was at the last minute. I try to get my work done when I get it so its not all done at the last minute."

[Pause. I'm going shopping. I'm not sure when I'll be back but if your still on we can continue.]

[Aww! I'm actually gonna hafta go so I'll just.. er.. send Harry away lol HAVE FUN SHOPPING!]

"Yeah, that's what Hermione keeps trying to get me to do," Harry said. "It doesn't work, needless to say." He stifles a yawn, then says, "Well! Time for my nap. I'll hopefully see you around, though, Demelza!" He skips walks up the Grand Staircase and into the Gryffindor Common Room.

"Ok Harry, It was nice to meet you. I'll hopefully see you round." About five minutes after Harry had lefft Demelza decided to go back to the common room so she climbed the staircase and wandered off.

Nikki skipped down from a random corridor, on her way back to Ravenclaw. She was totally not expecting to have an awkward meet-up with Dean.

Dean came down the grand staircase thinking of going to get some fresh air. His headache finally went away, and he was no longer covered in pizza. He still felt a little guilty about last nights adventures, but it's not like he was going to run into any o--crap. He spotted Nikki and tried doing a little turn-around to head back the way he came.

Nikki spotted him, and power-skipped up to him. "You weren't trying to avoid me, were you?" She pouted a little at Dean. "That would make me very very very sad."

He turn back around with a HUGE SMILE on his face . "NIKKI! HEY! Didn't see you there. I just remembered I forgot my...notebook in my dorm. How are you doing?" He was just a little overly friendly.
