Re: The Book Shoppe
Remus Lupin wrote:Blushing still, Remus almost protests as Jack moves in to kiss him, worried about the fact that they're in public. But he considers the fact that they're in a pretty much empty bookstore, in probably the furthest corner back, and then Jack's lips are on his and he decides he doesn't even care. It was a lot more enjoyable to focus on how good kissing Jack felt and how much he was enjoying it. He gasps lightly as he feels himself backed up against a bookshelf. In an odd sort of way it made him feel more secure, having something solid behind him. He couldn't explain it - it was just a feeling. His tongue teased against the taller man's lightly, as he wrapped both arms around Jack's waist to hold him close.
Mya used to snog Andrew in bookstores. Now they don't get much time to go shopping together at all. Sad days. Nobody backed anyone up against a bookcase thought because
Jack grins against Remus' mouth when he feels the strong arms encircle his waist and he obliges by pressing his body more firmly against the Gryffindor's. Remus' light tongue encourages his own and Jack's kisses turn progressively more demanding, his tongue plundering the warm opening of Remus' mouth for what might be just a few seconds, but feels more like a few hours. Finally Jack tears himself away with a little gasp, because if he doesn't soon, he's going to find a Perfectly Natural problem arising. "We're in a book store," he comments around a slightly breathless smirk, as if this is just occurring to him.

Hehe.
Remus blinks at Jack's comment, still trying to catch his breath. "Oh...yeah, I suppose you're right, there." he agrees, reddening slightly, his arms still around the slightly older man.

Jack nods. "Maybe we should go get ourselves a drink and pretend to cool off?" Jack suggests with a little wink, slowly disentangling himself from Remus and straightening the slightly younger student's collar, making him more presentable for public once more.

"Alright." Remus agrees, nodding, blushing lightly at Jack's wink. Once they're both presentable again, he takes the Ravenclaw's hand in his and they leave the bookshop for The Three Broomsticks.

Re: The Book Shoppe
Draco walked into Ye Olde Booke Shoppe and let go of her hand as they both walked into the stacks, hands reaching out to grab books to check titles and contents. Draco found a potions book similar to the one he wanted and started flicking through it, seeing if he could get this one instead.

[UGH MOM WANTS ME TO PUT THE LAPTOP AWAY. STUPID WOMAN. I guess I'll be back in about 20 mins when I start to 'yawn' and decide to head to bed]
Re: The Book Shoppe
Pansy followed him through the shelves for a moment before disappearing off in her own direction, picking up a few and looking at them, forcing herself to narrow it down to three choices: one on Astronomy, one on Charms, and a third about defensive spells. She caught up to Draco, sneaking up behind him and peeking over his shoulder at the book in his hands. "Find anything good?"
Re: The Book Shoppe
Draco by this point had closed the potions book, deciding it was good enough and had managed to find yet another potions book, this one specifically about ingredients and detailed uses and substitutions. All sorts of interesting rules and such and if this book existed Tam would read it because it sounds awesome. "Yeah a couple of potions books," he looked behind him at her arms, "I see you found some stuff."
Re: The Book Shoppe
"Always. I had to put some back actually." She laughed, readjusting them in her arms so that she could better hold them in addition to the bag of things from the pet store she'd bought. "Got everything you wanted from here? And mind if we run by Honeydukes before we go to the Three Broomsticks? I ought to get Scorp something for himself rather than just all things for Stitch." She walked up toward the desk and sat her books up there for the woman to check as she turned around to look at Draco.
Re: The Book Shoppe
Draco took the bag of pet store things from her to make it easier and nodded. "I just wanted on book but I found a better one then that interesting one on ingredients. Honeydukes is fine with me, I need to get myself some more things anyway and maybe pick up some extras as presents." He walked over to the counter too and was standing right behind her so as she turned around he was right there in front of her.
Re: The Book Shoppe
She blinked a little surprised as he was so close behind her, but nodded at their new gameplan and then she paid for her books and waited for him by the door. She took his hand again and made her way down the street. It had started snowing again, and like the child she usually became around Draco, she looked up at the sky and smiled, trying to catch them with her gloves. A moment later however, she was dragging Draco into Honeydukes, slipping back into the warmth, where we can post next.
Re: The Book Shoppe
Draco paid for his books too and took her hand, laughing at how happy she looked in the snow. He loved the snow and the contrast of the little white flakes on her dark hair was beautiful. He grinned as she dragged him into Honeydukes where I'll go post.
Re: The Book Shoppe
Pansy couldn't decide for a moment if she should go with Draco over toward the quills or slip away and go skim the shelves like she usually did, but he wasn't going far and she'd finally gotten to go out with him even though he'd originally cancelled, so she figured slipping away was just fine. She moved from his grip and wandered over to the books on defense against the dark arts, skimming over the titles for something on dueling that she hadn't read yet.
Re: The Book Shoppe
Draco walked over and picked out a few quills then went into the bookshelves to find her. He walked up behind where she was looking and slid an arm around her waist, "Find anything?" He looked at the shelves above her head and saw a promising looking book on defensive potions. Grabbing it he rested it on her shoulder and flipped through a few pages before sliding it under his arm to buy.
Re: The Book Shoppe
Pansy had picked up a book on offensive uses of protego and other typically defensive spells, flipping the pages and deciding it was definitely an interesting read, a twist on what the other books suggested for dueling. She turned her head a little as he put his arm around her and grabbed a book from over her head. "Yeah, one. I could look all day and spend a dragon's worth, but I think I'll just stick to this one. Not much money from mum left this month." She closed the book and held it in her arms, spinning in his grasp to face him and meet his eyes. "Got your quills?"
Re: The Book Shoppe
Draco held them up and tickled under her chin with them, "Yes, and a book too." He walked over to the counter with her and paid then was distracted by a new potions book. It was an analysis of the book he had bought last time, the one about the special ingredients. He started flipping through it, stopping every few pages to examine a picture or read a paragraph.
Re: The Book Shoppe
Pansy grinned, laughing when he tickled her with the feathers. Following him toward the counter, she waited for him to finish before paying for her book as well, walking up behind him and standing up on her toes to put her chin over his shoulder. "Interesting new read?" She glanced at some of the pictures as he turned through, more potions, more things she didn't quite understand fully that he was always better at. She was almost jealous, but he was so good at it, and she liked him, so it didn't bother her terribly. She did like being the best at things though.
Re: The Book Shoppe
Draco really hopes she likes him because Ashley doesn't like Tam apparently. Sad days. Draco nodded when Pansy popped over his shoulder. "Yeah it is. You remember that book I bought in October? This is about the same thing." He closed the book and turned around, hugging her and giving her a kiss on the cheek before offering her his arm. "Dinner now?"
Re: The Book Shoppe
"Oh, yeah. Cool." She smiled at him as he turned and kissed her cheek, slipping her hand around his arm. "Dinner sounds good to me." She noticed he was still holding onto the book, closed but not put back. "You getting the book? Or waiting for next time?"
Re: The Book Shoppe
Draco looked at the book then glanced guilitily at her, "I'm going to get it. Hold on just one sec." He walked over the the counter and put the book down on it. Paying quickly he tried to not get distracted by the other books sitting around him. Instead he turned around and walked back over to Pansy. "Okay food now."
Re: The Book Shoppe
"Alright." Pansy grinned victoriously as he went to buy the book. She knew he'd give in and get it just like he'd given in to go to Hogsmeade with her today. Once he was finished, she put her hand back in his and headed for the door, walking out into the street and into the Three Broomsticks where you can post now.
Re: The Book Shoppe
Audrey walked in and the second she smelt books she let go of Nev's hand and walked straight over to the shelves, completely forgetting what she was actually there for. Audrey gets very distracted by books.

Re: The Book Shoppe
Neville watched her with slight amusement as she ran over to the books and just kind of smiled to himself. He just kind of looked around casually, picking up something that looked kind of interesting here and there. He had every Herbology book that was in here so there was really no use in looking at those.

Re: The Book Shoppe
Audrey was now ensconced in the potions section, sitting on the floor with two piles of books next to her and one open in her lap. She was scanning the indexes and pulling the occasional other book off a shelf, the piles changing at a scarily rapid rate.
