Melanie couldn't help but to smile at Dom's compliment. "Thanks, though they're really not as great as yours to be honest," She said and took a pause before adding. "And don't you dare try and argue with that." It was true. Dom's eyes were so much brighter than Melanie's were. "It's about transfiguration, just stories about it," She said as she flipped through it. "Different experiences about it and stuff. It looks so interesting." Though in Melanie's head, everything in the entire bookstore looked interesting at all times.

Dom really had been just about to argue, but closed her mouth when Melanie told her not to. She supposed her eyes were all right, but she really did prefer Melanie's large and darker ones. She moved to glance at the book, watching as Melanie flipped through it. "Oh, that's rather neat then. There might even be things relating to becoming an animagus," she said. "You should definitely look into getting it."

Melanie nodded at her first comment and looked over at her and smiled as she closed the book. "Oh, I'm not looking into getting it," She told her with a slight shrug. "I'm definitely getting it," She said and grinned at her. With Melanie books weren't really given a second though when she wanted to get them. Sure with other things she said she wanted them and then would contemplate if it was worth it or not but with books they were always needed, never just wanted.

Dom let out a light laugh, glad that Melanie was getting something that she so obviously was interested in and wanted. "Do you want to check out some other books before paying?" she asked. "I mean, there are a lot more section in here than just Transfiguartion," she smiled before glancing around the store at the many other sections. "Is there anything else you're possibly looking for?"

Melanie looked down at the book and then back up at Dom before shaking her head. She knew she shouldn't even be getting any books considering how many she had checked out of the library that she hadn't read yet but she couldn't help herself. Books were her thing. They were the one thing she would never be able to resist buying. "No, just this book is good," She said and smiled widely. "Yeah, this is good."

“Alright,” Dom smiled, taking Melanie’s hand and gently leading her to the front of the store. “I’m not really looking for anything now. I’ve already got a ridiculous amount of books that I need to read before OWLs. Here’s where you pay,” she pointed out once they reached the front of the store. She gave a smile to the kind man who worked the shop. “Hi Mr. Clemmons,” she greeted. He greeted the two of them and then held out his hand for the book.

Melanie raised an eyebrow at Dom as she greeted the book store worker and couldn't help but to smile and let out a light chuckle. She was pretty surprised that Dom knew the guys name, it was cute though. She handed the guy the book and then reached into her pocket and dug out some coins. She handed the guy enough money to pay for the book because Angela doesn't know how much it would cost and then took the bag from the man as he handed it to her. She thanked him and gave him a smile before turning and keeping her hold of Dom's hand as she walked out of the book store.
