The Kitchens

Ted walks in and asked the House elf for some food. "Can I have a Banana split?"

The house elves give it to him. He eats in then walks away.

Hannah is lead by Nev into the kitchens where she greets the house elfs. "What should we get?" She asked, thinking of pizza. Something messy that they didn't usually serve for dinner sounded perfect.

"Ermmm. I don't know." He said looking around. "What do you want?" He asked her and smiled. "I don't really care." He said with a small shrug.

"Great, lets see if they'll make us some pizza, shall we?" She leaned down to talk to the house elfs and listed off only the best toppings, mushrooms most certainly NOT on it.

Neville grinned at her and nodded and let out a small "Thank you" As the house elf ran off to prepare a pizza. Neville sat down at a table and fiddled his thumbs a bit, waiting.

Hannah sat down on the opposite side of the table and looked around, "Man, I'm so glad to be back at school, home is kind of depressing right now."

"Yeah." He said sadly and nodded. "I like being at school a lot better than home too. All my Grandmum ever wants to talk about is my parents. She thinks I enjoy talking about them but it really just makes it worse." He says with a shrug. "It's nice to just be at Hogwarts with all my friends."

"Yes! It's the same at my house! My dad thinks that by constantly talking about Mom, I'll get over it. I just need time for myself. To forget about it, to get over it. You know?" She looked up into his eyes sadly, pretty sure that he knew exactly what she was talking about.

He nods at her. "Yeah, I get what your saying. I mean it's been years since the incident with my parent and she still likes to bring it up." He says with a shrug. "That's mainly why I started gardening, it gave me something to you when she did that." he said and looked at her and gave her a small smile. "But you knew that already."

"Yeah, that was a really great idea. Maybe I'll just turn my bass up full volume when ever my dad starts talking from now on." Their pizza arrived, Hannah took a piece with a lot of peppers on it and bit tentatively into it.

He smiled at her sweetly and grabbed a piece of pizza. Biting into it. "Mmmmm." He says as he chews it and swallows it. "This is some good pizza!"

[Pst, Nev, want to have Marcus and Andi meet?]

"I know, right? House elfs make the best food ever. If my dad wasn't so into cooking, I would totally hire one." She took another bite of the pizza and a sip of water that a house elf had so thoughtfully brought for them.

[Sure! Want to post somewhere? And I will come find you! ]

He smiled at her and nodded. Thinking briefly about how if they were to ever get married he would totally cook delicious meals for her every night. "Yeahh." he says and sighs because he doesn't think that will ever happen because Neville doesn't think Hannah likes him.

"So I met this cool guy today. A Ravenclaw, he's a seventh year, too. His name's Rolf. You know him?" She asked, proving his thoughts right. Hehe, whoops. "He accused me of abusing the Whomping Willow because I threw a rock at it. Can you believe that?" She asked, smiling at the memory.

"Oh, Rolf? Yeah, I have had classes with him." He says forcing a fake grin. "Really? That's odd. I wonder if he is like whomping willow obsessed." He says because that would be totally weird and creepy. "So you like him?"

"He's really nice, he asked me to teach him to play bass." She grinned, "Actually I suggested it, but he agreed! Those Ravenclaws do nothing but study, it's a little ridiculous. He'll need some fun in his life, I'm sure."

He grinned at her. "Yeah. Rolf seems like a really great guy." He says, even though he officially hated the guy. "So have you made any official plans to do something with him yet?" He asked, biting into his pizza.

Hannah frowned, "No, I guess not. But I think he likes me. He was all smiley." She sighed, doubtful now, "I'm sure we'll come up with something."

"Yeah! I'm sure he likes you bunches!" He says with a grin. "You're a very likable person. Maybe he'll owl you or something." He suggested.

Hannah smiled, finding Neville's smile infectious, "Yeah, I suppose he might. What about you?" She asked, turning the conversation around, "Any girls I should know about?"

He froze slightly when she asked is there were any girls he was interested in. "Errr. No. Not really." He said with a shrug and relaxed again. "I mean, Marietta is pretty nice. I don't talk to her much but she is nice, and pretty." he says with a nod.

"Marietta..." Hannah said, thinking hard. She was good with faces, not names. "Ravenclaw, red hair?" She asked, "Yeah, she's very pretty. Really smart, too. Well, duh, she's a Ravenclaw." She said with a laugh.

"Yup. That's her." He said with a small smile. "Yeah, You've got to be smart to be a Ravenclaw. But I mean, people in the other houses are all smart too. Well, Except for most of the Slytherins." He said with a shrug, trying to change the subject so Hannah didn't bring up Rolf again.
