The Kitchens

"That would be fun! I miss our study sessions," she said, giggling at Dean. "Not sure we could call them study sessions though, seeing as we never really got any studying done."

He laughed too. "Well, I guess we could try. Probably wouldn't work to well, but oh well." He was laughing as he took another bite of his sandwich.

Luna giggled and sipped some more of her juice. "Well, at least we always have fun. It's a lot better than going to Pince for studying help. She's always so...rude."

"And smelly..and scary." Dean added. "I swear I will never smell nor will I ever be scary. I hope. I can't really promise the no smelly thing though. I am a guy after all." He grinned.

Luna giggled. "Well, as long as you keep the smelling to minimum. And you can't have hugs when you smell," she teased with a soft laugh before taking the last bite of her sammich.

He smiled some more. "Well, if I get free hugs, then I will be sure to always smell my best!" He took the last bite of his sandwich and drank the last of his juice.

"Good!" She laughed and set her plate down, then wrapped her arms around Dean to give him a nice, big hug.

He rested his head on the top of hers and hugged her back. "Ahh, free hugs! Good thing I showered this morning!" He laughed lightly some more.

Luna giggled then pulled away. "Good thing. I wouldn't want someone dirty making me my sandwich, you know," she teased with a grin. When the house elf came up and took her plate from her, she thanked him kindly then turned back to Dean. "I hope that hug reminds you why you need to shower....Every day. With soap...and water."

"Yes Ma'am!" He saluted her and thanked the elf that took his plate as well. "I'll do you one better. I will use good smelling soap AND I will brush my teeth at least twice a day!" He nodded.

Luna laughed. "Sounds like a plan. And don't forget to floss. That's important," she said very seriously, before bursting into another fit of giggles.

He joined in on her laughter. For some reason he couldn't stop once he has started. Through laughs he choked out, "I.....promise...will...floss.." He started wiping his eyes as he finally started calming down more.

Luna clutched her stomach as she continued laughing, wiping a tear from her eye from laughing so hard when she finally stopped. "Um. What were we talking about again?"

He was still randomly laughing. "I think it was about me being a smelly male." This made him chuckled a little more. He had to wipe some tears from his eyes from all the laughter. "Boy, I haven't laughed like that in a long time."

Luna sighed happily, still smiling like a loon on loon tablets. "You know what? Neither have I," she said with a happy smile, realizing that she hadn't felt this happy since before her breakup with Hermione.

He smiled. "Well, I'm glad we got to share this experience together." More laughter. "I'm thirsty again." He went and refilled his glass, still laughing at random times. "You want anything else?"

Luna smiled. "So am I." She stayed where she was on the counter when Dean went to get a drink. "No, I'm good for now. Thanks though." She sighed again, smiling happily because even though she might feel upset when she was alone, being with Dean made her realize that things would get better sooner or later.

He chugged down the drink and sighed, finally done laughing. He turned around and smiled again. "I'm glad we're friends. We have a lot of fun." Random observation, but he was looking at his bracelet.

Luna smiled and looked down at Dean's bracelet, then down at her own. "I'm glad too. I don't know what I'd do without you," she admitted quietly. "You're my best friend."

He had resolved over the past couple weeks that he could be just her best friend right now. He hoped someday she would come to the realization that they should be more than friends. "You are my best friend that's a girl, it's hard to chose between you and Neville." He felt a little guilty about saying that but added, "You are definitely the prettiest friend I have."

Luna smiled. She hadn't been called pretty since being with Hermione and it made her feel, well, pretty. "Well thanks. I've talked to Neville a few times. He's a really nice guy," she said, wondering how Neville was doing because she hasn't seem him in a while.

He smiled widely. He spoke in a really excited voice. "Neville is the best!" He cleared his throat and spoke in a much deeper voice than normal. "I mean, Nev is cool. We've been the best of friends since the first day on the train."

Luna smiled. "That's nice. I can tell that you guys are really close. You're both really nice guys, so I guess it makes sense that you get along so well."

He smiled at the compliment. "Yeah, I guess we work well together. You're good friends with Ginny right? She's really cool."

Luna nodded. "Mhm. I haven't seen her since we got back from break, but we talk a lot and have classes together. She's really nice," she said with a smile, though Ginny might not be in Luna's year on AWF. IDK. If she's older then we can just forget I said anything.
