The Grand Staircase

"That's not my problem that I'm in your way," Padma said coolly, standing her ground and not even noticing when the pain disappeared. She fingered her wand but didn't point it at the girl just yet. "You've just earned yourself a one-way ticket to Azkaban. Enjoy your life."

Ro ran back up the staircase. Need someplace to hide these. Need someplace to cook these. Need someplace to experiment on the apples. Where am I going to find a place like that? He heard someone say Azkaban and Unforgivable. He ran full speed ahead.

Petunia released the spell completely and muttered a series of spells. "Expelliarmus, incarcerous, confundus." Wandless, tied up, and no memory of what happened. Sounded good to her. She didn't want to be getting into trouble. Perfect LIly would just love that. She walked away, glaring at the two girls on the floor and hearing footsteps approach. She quickened her pace and hid where she couldn't be spotted.

But, Padma was too quick. "Protego," she muttered. "Nice meeting you," she said, smirking. She smiled at Milli and said, "Let's go somewhere else." She walked out.

Milli smirked at the chick. "See ya around." To Padma she said, "Lead the way."

Dean comes down the stairs, luggage in hand. He looked around sadly at everything. He headed for the front doors, preparing to go back to his lonely little shed. He reached the doors and gave one last sad look before taking his first step out the doors. He was leaving Hogwarts...again..-sigh-

Nikki skipped down the staircase. She was bored. Everyone else had stuff going on in their life... but not her. She sat down, about 5/7 of the way down, and waited for something to happen.

Fred was wandering down the corridor near the grand staircase, "taking a break" (procrastinating on) from his homework. He was about to walk past when he noticed Nikki sitting there looking incredibly forlorn and lonely. "Hey you there!" he called, waiting for her response with a grin on his face.

Nikki shot him a small smile, but nothing like her usual ones. "I am bored."

Fred frowned and skip-walked down the stairs to where she was sitting. "What's this on your face?" he asked looking at her frowny face. "Looks like you put your smile on upside-down this morning," he said, prodding her cheek lightly with his index finger hoping to fix this dire situation.

Fred's gentle teasing provoked a genuine smile... still on the small side. "Nothing is happening! Everyone else has stuff going on, but not me! I just want to do something!"

Fred smiled and threw out his arms. "Well, what a coincidence! I'm not doing anything either! We could... I don't know-" he paused for dramatic effect, "do something together?" he finished arching his eyebrows hopefully.

"Something exciting?" Nikki perked up. "Can we do something crazy and wonderful and raise hell?"

Fred grinned mischievously. "I'm always up for a little hell raising. Any ideas?"

Nikki raised an eyebrow, her mood swinging back to happy. "You good sir, are the master. Perhaps a trip to Zonkos for inspiration?" She cracked a smile. "I wanna pull a prank."

"A prank, you say?" he asked with an eyebrow arch of his own. He shook his head. "Oh dear, it seems the inevitable has happened. My rascaly ways have rubbed off on you. What ever are we to do about this?"

Nikki kissed his cheek. "You can indulge my rascally wants. Do you know a way to get to Hogsmeade?"

A wicked grin spread over Fred's features. "I do in fact," he said. "It's just this way." And with that, he jumped up and led her to a secret passageway.

Nikki chased after Fred, feeling better by the minute.

Teddy walked down the steps of the Grand Staircase and sat on one of the lower ones, taking out a quill and a peice of parchment to scribble a letter to Victoire:
