The Grand Staircase

Luna is skipping up towards the Ravenclaw tower and accidentally skips a step, causing her to stumble and drop her bag, spilling out its contents which includes her Quibbler, Butterbeer corks, dirigibles, and spectrespecs. Yes, Luna's first post of 2.0 was her falling UP the stairs.

Okay. Rad has had two whole posts today where he was not high. Time to fix that. Rad, who is completely and utterly stoned, is walking up the stairs and sees a small, rather pretty blonde girl trip up the stairs, spilling her things everywhere. He quickly rushes over to help her out, extending his hand to help her up to her feet. "Whoa, easy there. You alright?" he asked, smiling at her because he is nearly always smiling, as he bends down to help her pick up her things.

Luna smiles up at the rather attractive, strong guy helping her and also reaches down to start picking up all her things. "Thank you," she says softly as she continues cleaning up the mess, wondering why this guy was being nice to her. "Are you new here?"

Awww. Rad thinks everyone should be nice to his Luna. "Uh, yeah, I just transferred here from America. The name's Caradoc, call me Rad," he said with a smile as he handed her back her... funny looking sunglasses? "Er, what are these, if you don't mind me asking? Because whatever they are, I totally want a pair. Those are mad trippy," he said, with a far off look as he stares at the shiny dots on them.

Oh, he's from America. Luna sighs, assuming Caradoc would quit being so nice once he finds out what the Quibbler is. She really didn't get why people were so against it anyway. It's all fact, don't ya know. "Oh. Those are spectrespecs. You can see the wrackspurts when you put them on. You can have that pair if you'd like. I can get them whenever I want from my dad."

"Spectrespecs? Sound... awesome. What's a wrackspurt?" he asked, putting them on and letting out a loud "WHOA!" as he saw all the wrackspurts. "These things... they're totally awesome! I would totally rock these on a daily basis, just saying. You seem like cool people. What's your name?" he asked.

Cho walked up the stairs coming from the library. She had had an eventful time looking for her books. She fell off the ladder twice. It was... painful. She sighed, looking forward to just chilling in the common room for a little while before she came across Luna. Some of her things were strewn places so Cho picked them up. Luna was being helped by a guy too, though he seemed a bit... off. She hadn't seen him before so she figured she shouldn't make judgments like that, and she handed Luna her things. Although she didn't really know Luna, it couldn't hurt to be nice right?

(Let me just jump right in there. XD)

"Wrackspurts; little creatures that get inside your ears and make your brain go fuzzy," she explained in a dreamy voice. "I'm Luna. Luna Lovegood," she introduced, smiling up at Rad before she realized Cho was now here as well. "Hello Cho," she said sweetly, recognizing the older girl from the times she'd seen her around the common room in previous years.

"Awesome. Hm, Luna, that's a pretty name," he said with a friendly smile. "Hey there. I'm Rad, nice to meet you," he said in greeting to Cho.

"Thank you," she said shyly as she closed up her bag now that all its contents were restored. "So, you're new? What house did they put you in?" she asked curiously.

"Hufflepuff, I think. I keep forgetting what it's called, honestly. Some dude told me that makes me a badger, which I guess is alright, badgers are pretty cool. What house are you in?" he asked the two girls, leaning against the railing and reaching up to run a hand through his own blonde hair.

Cho smiled at Luna. From what she knew, the girl was a bit out there, but sweet. "Hello, Luna. Going back to the tower? I was just coming from the library." She said, referencing to her full bag. It was rather heavy. She turned to the boy Luna was talking to. "Nice to meet you, Rad. I'm Cho." She smiled at him in a greeting and answered his question. "I'm a Ravenclaw." She said.

"We're both in Ravenclaw. Ravens, obviously," she said with a slight giggle, starting to like Rad more and more. He seemed nice. "I don't know many Hufflepuffs, but I'm sure they're all nice like you."

"Well, I hope so too. I haven't actually met anyone in my house yet," he said with a shrug. "Wait. You guys are RAVENS? The Gryffindors are lions, and I'm a fucking badger. That's just not right. Why don't I get an awesome animal? Whatever. I'll make badgers the coolest animal ever. Do you think I could charm a badger to give it laser vision?"

Luna giggled. "Sorry, The Hufflepuff house is sort of like...the spare house, so I guess you'll need to work on getting them recognized," she teased. "And I'm sure you could find a spell for that. Wouldn't be too difficult, I suppose. My mum always did experiments with different charms and spells."

"The SPARE house?! I am no spare. I AM NO SPARE!" he yells, totally raisinging his wand in the air like Eowyn with her sword, hehehe. "I shall go find such a spell immediately! SO LONG, LUNA AND CHO, YOU PRETTY RAVENS! I am off to go create the most badass badger you have ever seen. It will have laser vision and rainbow powers. You shall see!" Caradoc rushes away because I gotta go for a it. I LOVE YOU ALL!

Luna laughs and waves goodbye to Rad before turning back to Cho. "Ready to head up to our dorms?" she asks because I have to go to school now. She skips up to the Ravenclaw tower with Cho, feeling quite happy about making a friend like Rad.

Cho laughed. Laser vision on a badger. It was so ridiculous it was funny. She watched as Rad left to go experiment on some poor badger. "Yes, let's go. I'm tired after all that studying." Cho smiled at Luna before she began to walk alongside the skipping girl. (Because Ducky just realized that she has a week to read five books she's gonna go and try and finish one of them today. Have fun at school...?)

Marcus is here walking up the stairs.

Daphne skipped up the stairs and almost bumped into this dude named Marcus. Cool.

Marcus glanced behind him as he heard someone come up close behind him pretty quickly. He saw it was Dee, because he knows her from Quidditch I am assuming. "Hey Dee." He said giving her the sup nod. "How was your summer?"

That would make sense. I think she's on the team again. *shrugs*

"Oh, hi, Flint," Dee said, as if it were totally normal to run into the guy one of your best friends sort of likes on a staircase. "It was alright. Nothing special." She shrugged. "How was yours?"
