The Kitchens

[-clings- Nooo! ...Actually, I need to go to bed too. So I don't sleep through my morning class again. Heheh.]

Fred laughs at Gravity because Nikki is already on the floor with him. "I wish I had a purple crayon," he mused. "You should get me one for my birthday. No! Christmas! That's closer," he said. He gave her a loopy tired grin and nuzzled into her shoulder. "You're preeetty," he said, his words slightly muffled.

"I feel pretty, oh so pretty. I feel pretty and witty and bright!" Nikki snuggled closer into Fred. "I think it is our fate to never finish what we started. Alas, the pie filling, it is incomplete!"

[I need Nikki to at some point go, "Alas my sanity, I knew it well.......... JK JK, I never met it."]

[Haha. That'd be great. I feel that way sometimes.]

Fred mumbled into her shoulder, "We'll finish something... someday." [Someday my prince will come! Sorry...] He looked up at her with wide hazel eyes. "We will, won't we?"

[Hey! I think we might actually be able to finish this up in a few posts.]

"Maybe, but it will be something ridiculous, like riding a unicycle in every continent." She perked up. "I want to do that."

Fred stared at her seriously. "I think you'd be a great unicylist," he said, probably not comprehending much of what he was saying 'cause both he and Ari are very tired.

"Really, so would you! Maybe we can unicycle and juggle!" She snuggled with Fred. "And we could travel around entertaining," she yawned, "small children."

[THEY BEED TO FALL ASLEEP ON THE FLOOR TOGETHER! IT WOULD BE ADORABLE!]

[-giggles at the typo- YES. THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING! Hopefully they don't get trampled by the people who come into the kitchen in the middle of people's scenes.]

"Y- yeeaah," Fred said, unsuccessfully trying to stifle a yawn. His eyes began to close and he hugged her if that's possible to do from the floor. "I love you," he mumbled.

[OMIGOD! HE SAID IT! HE SAID I LOVE YOU! THE NIKKI IN MY HEAD IS FREAKING OUT! OH MY GOD. OH GOODNESS.]

Nikki felt a rush of warmth through her body. "I love you too." She leaned into the awkward yet adorable floor hug. "I think, I think... we are gonna... gon...na fall asleep... sleep... right..." She fell asleep, on the floor cuddled in Fred's arms.

[-is flailing to infinity over here- Bea is like partying around Fred. Yay! Plus, we actually finished something!!! ]

Fred smiled at her reply and peeked at her from sleepy eyes. 'I'm so lucky,' he thought before falling asleep with his arm still draped over Nikki.

[YAAAAAY! Now I don't want to sleep. -shushes Bea-]

Viktor walks in and doesn't notice the two sleepers at first because he's super hungry and looking for food.

[sorry - bad timing, my boss walked in. Should be good now though ]


Hermione carries Kiora into the kitchens because she's got a yen to be more Mama Bearish than usual today, and grins as she notices Viktor rummaging around in the cupboards (I presume). "Hey, Viktor! Anything good to eat?"

Viktor looks over at Mya and smiles. "Er- no, actually," he grumbles, glaring at the cupboards because he's starting to miss Bulgarian cooking by now. "Not really."

Hermione moves over and nudges him out of the way. "Here," she says, passing Kiora into his arms so she can rat through the cupboards for herself. "Let's see what I can come up with... Hmm... do you like potatoes?"

Fred groaned and rolled over, sliding his arm off Nikki. He opened his eyes and immediately squinted them nearly shut. "Bright," he grumbled, not noticing that others were in the kitchen now.

...

"Yes, actually," he says, his face lighting up a bit. "Who doesn't? I could help you cook if you vant. I promise, I know how. I do."

[Hahaha!]

Hearing voices that he was sure weren't in his head, he sat up and looked around groggily. "Oh. Hello," he said upon seeing Hermione and Viktor.

Viktor turned around and grinned. "Hey George," he greeted because people don't mess up the twin's names as much as they should.

AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVE YOU.

Hermione frowns. "Did you hear something?" She glances around, but does not think to look on the floor, so has yet to notice Fred. Then he sits up and speaks, and she smiles, even if she is a little confused. "Oh, hello..." she doesn't actually use a name, just in case. "Hungry?"

"Don't even think about it," she says to Viktor's offer of help, shooing him over to a chair. "I've got this under control - you just hold the baby for me while I cut up the potatoes."
She grabs a whole bunch of potatoes and practices the spells to peel and wash them off, smiling at the accomplishment as they land neatly on the chopping board, ready for her to begin slicing them.

[ok, carry on ]

Viktor chuckles and sits down with Kiora, lightly playing with her and talking to her about random stuff as Mya cooks. "Since ven are you such a chef?"

[Oh sorry. -was distracted by gas money-]

Fred stood up. "Actually, it's Fred," he said with a smile, too distracted to let him keep thinking otherwise. "Getting a snack?" he asked.

Hermione shrugs and laughs. "Well I'm just in one of those moods," she says, knowing Viktor at least will understand how Mama Bear gets. "I don't know that I'm much of a chef, but I'm sure Remus and Kiora will appreciate me getting the practice in while I can!"
She slices up the potatoes and sticks them in a dish, then starts layering cheese and bacon bits through the slices. Then she goes back to the cupboard, practically climbing inside it to look for the final ingredient.
"Ah-ha!"

"Vell I vos going to, but it looks like Herm-own-ninny is going to be making my snack," he said with a laugh. He turned towards Mya and cocked his head to the side like a cute puppy. "Ah-ha? Vot's ah-ha?"

Hermione climbs back out of the cupboard and turns around with a triumphant grin. She waves a jar of cheesy, nummy, potato bake sauce in the air. "Found it!"
She pours it over the potato and mixes it all together, adding another layer of grated cheese to the top. "Everybody likes cheese, right?" she reasons seriously. She pops it in the oven, turns it on, and wanders back over to kiss Kiora's cheek as she sits happily in Viktor's arms, then leans against the bench. "So how's things, Fred?"
