The Library

"Nice to meet you too, Hermione," she says, sitting down at the nearest table. She motions for Mya to sit. "Nope. I'm a six year, and I'm new."

*Hermione sits down, still marveling over the amount of late additions Hogwarts has taken to admitting this year.*

Oh that's nice. How are you liking Hogwarts so far? Are people being friendly?

"Oh, yes. I've only met a few people, really. I can count them on one hand. But they've all been lovely."

*Hermione grins brightly and pushes her apparently man-eating hair back over her shoulders.*

Oh, that's great. Sometimes people aren't so lucky here - not everyone is friendly unfortunately. Oh well, I hope you only meet the good ones.

"Oh yeah, like your alter ego? Well, if I did meet anyone mean, my brothers would probably kick some arse." She doodles on a spare bit of parchment.

You have brothers here? That's nice - at least you had someone familiar here, right? I'm an only child, so I was all alone when I started. Are your brothers old - WAIT A MO' - Did you say 'Prewett'?

"Erm- yes, yes I did." Alice wondered why Hermione was having a random outburst. "You aren't romantically involved with one of them, are you?" She doesn't know about Remione, obviously.

*Hermione smiles and shakes her head.*

No, no, I'm married. I just realised something - your brothers are Fabian and Gideon, aren't they? They're in my House.

"Oh, okay. That's good. I wouldn't want you to get hurt. Those two can be notorious heartbreakers... Married? Really? What's that like? I'm not even allowed to kiss boys 'cause of Gid and Fay. So yeah, they'd be my brothers."

Fabian, at that moment, runs into the library (trying not to look at the books, of course) screaming. "HERMIONE! HERMIONE ARE YOU HERE!"


...Fabian doesn't know what 'quiet' means.

*Hermione laughs*

I can imagine them being the overprotective type, yeah. Married life is great. I mean, I don't know what it's meant to be like for everyone else, but I love it!

*She looks up, startled, as half their topic of conversation comes SCREAMING into the Library*

OVER HERE FABIAN! NO NEED TO SHOUT!

"FABIAN?" Alice shrieks, falling out of her chair.

Fabian breathes a sigh of relief when he sees Hermione and sits down, not seeing Alice. "Oh, good! You're here. I hate this place. But, we need to talk about your baby shower!" he opens his purse and throws a sample invitation on the table. "You like them? Or should I change them?" he takes out a hot pink notepad and a pink fuzzy pen. "And I was also think--" he stops after seeing Alice. "Ohmygod, ALICE?!"

"Oh hello, Fay," Alice says from the floor. "What's that you got there? Is- is that a satchel? Indiana Jones has one... And er... why do you have it?" Alice is being ignorant and slow today, folks.

*Hermione studies the invite carefully, her lips pursed.*

Fabian.... these are just....

*She frowns.*

They're.... they're LOVELY! Look at that darling little bow!

*She holds the invite out for Alice to see, not really registering that she's fallen off her chair*

Viktor walks in after snuggling with Regulus for hours because Reg finally decided to go into his own dorm to get his stuff. He sees Fabian, Hermione, and some pretty girl so he walks over to say hello. "Hey Fabian. Hermione." He smiles at the blonde. "Hello. I'm Viktor."

*Hermione smiles at Viktor.*

Hey, Viktor, how's Regulus? You know, he blushes a lot....

"It's not a satchel," he makes a face. "It's a purse. P-U-R-S-E purse. What are you doing here, anyways? I thought you were being homeschooled! Hogwarts is FAR too dangerous for my precious little sister!" he smiles at Hermione. "I'm glad you like them. The bow took me AGES. And would you believe that I couldn't find square buttons anywhere? A shame, really..." he sees Viktor and smirks. "Oh, hello Viktor. Are you done with your snuggling now?"

"He's great. And I like his blushing, thank you very much," he adds jokingly. He turns to Fabian and glares. "Yes...for now."

Fabian laughed, again ignoring the whole 'quiet' thing. "You know, I'm happy for you. I really am--but you're so... too... SWEET!" he says as if it's a bad thing.

*Hermione gasps*

No square buttons? That's a travesty! Oooh this is going to be the best baby shower ever!

*She smiles at Viktor*

I didn't say I didn't like it! He's very cute! You two are cute together! I like it, I like it all! As soon as I see you both eat a full, balanced meal, I'll be completely satisfied!

Viktor rolls his eyes and sits down. "Don't call him cute to his face. He doesn't like it much. He prefers being called sexy," he says with a smirk. "But you're right about the eating thing. It'll be easier to call him sexy ven he isn't skin and bones."

Alice cocks her head. "Fay, why do you have a purse...? And Mum and Dad sent me. What? Am I not allowed to have friends?" She nods at Ducky. "Hi, I'm Ali- WAIT HERMIONE. YOU HAD A CHILD?"

"Um, so I can store my glitter, nail polish, hair care, and pumps in there? Stop being so dense, Ali. And this school is CRAWLING with dangerous people--boys, mostly."

*Hermione arches an eyebrow at Viktor.*

Yes, but I can't very well call him sexy, can I? That would be awkward. And I'll remember you said that about his eating, you know...

*She jumps a little as Alice yells. Man, these Prewetts are LOUD.*
