Fabian nodded like an eager puppy. "They'll kill me, alright," he said. "Their pages will detach from their spines and slit my throat as the binding smothers me and prevents my screams from being heard."

He bursts out laughing. "Alright. If you say so."

Fabian pouted. "It's truee!" he whined. "They're going to kill me and the only place in this whole library that is safe is underneath this table!" he said pointedly.

He chuckles. "If you say so," he says, starting to look sad again. "Maybe ve should leave then."

Fabian shrugs. "If you want, I guess..." he draws his knees to his chest. "But... I know this is still bothering you. I mean, you loved him and all, right? So... Talk to me. Talk about him, whatever. I want to be here for you... and stuff."

He shrugs. "I loved him. I couldn't trust him though. I didn't really haff a choice. I'm better off vithout him...right?" he looked up at Fabian looking sad.

Fabian bit his lip. "Well..." he said, not looking Viktor in the eye. "If you want my opinion... It doesn't seem like you're much better without him... You know, considering how you shaved off your goatee and all." he said, a bit jokingly to try and ease the atmosphere. "In my opinion... I think we all make mistakes. But, I don't know the full story, so I guess my opinion is kinda invalid, huh?"

He shakes his head. "I can't go back to him. I can't trust him, and I know he doesn't trust me. He's still doing the drugs."

"Well, they're not exactly easy to quit, are they?" Fabian said, toying with his hair. "I mean, I think... I think Reg's a better guy than that, personally. Like, he wouldn't do drugs to make you upset... he loves you, Viktor."

"He's not even trying to quit. He made is decision. The drugs are more important to him than I am."

Fabian hugged his knees, finding it very difficult, for some reason, to say his next few words. "He loves you, Viktor," he managed. "I mean... When I was talking to him on the Astronomy Tower... He lost so much sleep over you, and that was because of a kiss. If he was that afraid of losing you, and to me of all people, then... What makes you think that he'd try to lose you?"

He closed his eyes and shook his head. "Fabian. He's gone now. It doesn't matter anymore. He made his decision. He could quit if he vanted to, but he isn't. I can't be vith somevon like him."

Fabian looked up at the bottom of the table, looking at all the gum pieces stuck to it. "I'm sorry, Viktor. Really." he looked at Viktor and put his hand on his shoulder. "Honestly... If... If I could help you at all, then I would. You know that," he said sadly. And, no matter how much he wanted to be with Viktor, Viktor's happiness came before his own.

He nods sadly. "I know you vould. Thanks, for being here. It helps haffing somevon to talk to."

He grinned widely. "No problem-o," he said. He stood up to stretch, banged his head against the table, and recoiled in pain. "Owww!" he moaned. "Just a warning," he said. "We're under a table."

"Thank you captain obvious," he says with a smirk before climbing out from under the table.
