The Library

Jade stops when she feels Eileen's foot on her. "You want me to stay?" she asks raising an eyebrow and then subconsciously licking her lip.

"Or we could go somewhere else?" She said, "Seeing as you're already standing up."

"That could work," she says with a smile. "Where do you want to go? The only places I really know around the castle are broom closets and the kitchens."

"The kitchens, then? I'm feeling some strawberries."

Jade bites her lip to hold back a grin, and feels her heart beat faster in anticipation. "I love strawberries," she says a bit huskily. She moves away from the table and starts heading to the door. Glancing over her shoulder, she makes sure that Eileen is following, then leaves the library.

Apolline has yet to get into her house so I'm placing her here for now. She sits at a table to skim through some of her new textbooks.

Rolf enters the library and grabs a book on Thestrals off of the shelf. He makes his way over to a table in the corner, where he makes sure not many people will see him, and starts to read.

Luna walks in and sees Rolf. Her face lights up and she walks over to him and peeks over his shoulder. "Thestrals huh?"

"Oh, err, hi," he grins when he sees Luna over his shoulder. "Yeah, I'm trying to see them in a positive light."

Luna stands there smiling. "I've always found them interesting. Some people think they're ugly, but I like them."

"I think my problem is that I just associate them with death. I'm trying to look past that though. Trying to see why they are beautiful creatures. You can sit down if you want," he says giving her a small smile and cocking his head to the side towards the open chair next to him.

Luna smiles and sits down on Rolf's lap in the chair. "That's cool. I can see how some people wouldn't like them because of the whole death thing."

"Yeah, I need to not be judgmental," he says while closing the book and placing it on the table. "So Luna, tell me. What do you see when you look at thestrals."

"Oh, well," she pauses to think. "I see misunderstood creatures I guess. They look dangerous but they're actually really sweet."

"I've never really seen one up close. I suppose I shouldn't be too quick to judge them," he says honestly. "I mean, I hear they are gentle creatures, I just never made the effort to try and see them as kind or sweet."

"I could show you sometime. I know where a couple of them like to stay in the forest."

He thinks for a moment, toying with the cover of the book. "I'd like that," he says finally. "I mean, I need to face them. I need to face everything I thought they represent and I need to change my opinion about them. I think you can definitely help me," he smiles.

She smiles. "I'd love to help you. When I went to Sweden I traveled there on a thestral."

"Really? I didn't know people could do that," he says smiling. "All the way to Sweden too? That's insane!"
