Neville's Secret Garden

"Well," Hannah said, "I'll just have to make sure Dean does. What would I do without you there? What happens if I get bored? We're suppose to help each other out at these things." Actually, that means that she should have been at the mixer in case he got bored. Hmm...

He shook his head. "Nope. No no no no no. If I can do it, I will go the rest of my 7th year without going to a single party or dance." He said sternly, even though Hannah or Dean would probably end up making him go.

Hannah laughed, "I won't let that happen. It's your last year! There's no way you're going to spend it in the greenhouse. You'll have to go to some parties or you won't have any stories to tell. Imagine your kids, asking about all the things you did at Hogwarts, you'll want to have something intresting to tell them."

"I have interesting things to tell them! I have one story from the time I drank....during 4th year." He said nodding. "I don't need ANY more. Nope." He said shaking his head.

Hannah frowned, "I don't think I remember that story. Did you tell me that?" She asked, thinking that something happened he didn't want her to know. "And you haven't drank anything since? I guess that's a good thing... Still, one story isn't really enough."

"Umm, I didn't exactly tell anyone about that." He said blinking. "It was an...interesting night I just don't remember much of it." He said honestly. "No, not once." He said, shaking his head. "I think one story is fine. Yup. Mmhmm."

Hannah bit her lip to hide a smile, "Okay, then. I'm sure one story will be fine, even one that you can barely remember. Just remember to make it intresting." She tucked a stray hair behind her ear, "You'll want to sound cool, right?"

"I will sound cool with all my other stories. I can tell my children stories all about my garden and my friends." He said nodding. "Anyways, What kind of kid would want to hear stories about their parents getting drunk and doing crazy things?! That might make the kid want to drink which would be really bad." He said nodding.

[Okay, I have to go now for 2 hours, but if you are on when I get back we can finish this then!]

[Dean is chanting "KISS HER KISS HER KISS HER KISS HER KISSHER]

[Neville is now shaking his head at Dean and giving him the stink eye.]

"Hmm... You're right about that." She admitted, "But still, you'll want the whole school experience. Maybe not now, but some day. Just come to the next party, will you? I promise I won't leave you."

He looked at her and contemplated for a few seconds. "When is it?" He asked, hoping maybe he had plans to study or something that night.

"Umm, I'm not sure yet." She said, "I'll let you know later on. And," she added, as if reading his thoughts, "I'll make sure you're free."

"Well." He said, thinking of the next holiday coming up. "If it's Halloween I can't go. I will be extremely busy on Halloween." he said nodding. "That whole weekend. Yup."

Hannah frowned, "Now what could you possibly doing all weekend?" She was pretty sure even seventh years could be free if they wanted to. "But there will probably be a winter one. Are you staying for Christmas?"

"Well, I have to water my plants and that is the weekend I have picked out for picking weeds and planting some more seeds." He said, even though there wasn't one weed in his garden at the moment. "I don't know yet....Are you?"

"Well," She started, "Why don't you do the weekend after? That could be the weekend you teach me, and I'll be able to help out!" She smiled, confident that there was no way out. "I don't know about Christmas yet. I'll probably stay, there's really no point in leaving."

"Umm. It needs to be done soon. The weeds are just attacking my garden. There are so many." Lies. He said nodding. "It needs to be done soon." He said looking around at his weedless garden. "I think I might leave for Christmas. You know? See my grandmum and go visit my parents..."

"Right," Said Hannah, giving up on the party for now. She'd convince him well enough later. "You know, if you ever want company..." She let the offer trail off, expecting the same reply as usual. "My dad would just be unhappy the whole time. It'll be a lot more cheerful around here."

"Plus I would need a costume if I went and I wouldn't be able to think of something." he said nodding. "Well...Now that you know where my garden is. You can come here anytime, I'm usually here.." he said nodding. "Yeahh..." he said nodding. "You could always come to my grandmum's with me if you wanted to. I am sure she would love it if you came." He said nodding. "Then...I won't be so lonely with he and her 9 cats..."

"I'm sure you could come up with something!" Hannah said, thinking hard, "You could... be a plant!" She grinned, "Christmas at you place would be cool! I'm a pretty good cook, too, so I could help out."

Neville's eyes widened when she mentioned him being a plant. "THAT SOUNDS FU--I mean...No." He said, blinking. "Really? Grandmum would love that..."He said smiling.

Hannah laughed, "A plant could be cool. You could be that deadly one, that hates light? Those are pretty scary. And halloween has to be scary. It's tradition!"

"YEAH!" Said Neville with a grin on his face. "It would be fun! What are you going to be?" He asked, grinning like a loon.

"I dunno," She said, "I haven't really thought about it. Any ideas?" I honestly have no idea what any of my charaters should be. "Halloween's my favorite holiday, it's always so hard to choose."
