Somewhere by the Lake

He stared at her with a blank expression for about sixty seconds before he said anything. "Are....Are you being serious right now?" He asked, staring at her. He couldn't tell if she was joking or not.

"Yes! In case you didn't notice, I stormed out on you! You are such an ass!" She tried throwing his hands off her, but he was a lot stronger than she was.

He stared at her and then laughed. Yeah. He laughed. "Millicent. It was cake....and icing. It washes out!" he said, staying nice and calm. "Are you seriously mad at this? You got that flour shit all over me but I didn't freak out, Did I?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Flour wipes away in about two seconds! And you would have freaked out if I had gotten anywhere near your hair." She was still shouting. "Plus!! I spent all that time making that cake, thinking we could enjoy it together..then you just SMASH it in my face! What the hell is up with that!"

He rolled his eyes. "You're a drama queen. Can't you just get over it?" He asked, not loosening his grip on her wrists because if he did she would just run away. "What do you want me to do? Make a cake and then let you smash my face in it?"

She rolled her eyes at his suggestion. "No. I want you to apologize, which I know won't happen because you don't believe in saying sorry." She poked him hard in the chest when she said the word 'you' .

"Well, I'm not sorry to be honest." She said and shrugged."I actually thought it was pretty funny." He said and smiled at her. "Because I believe in having fun unlike someone I know." He said and looked off into the distance and whistled a bit.

"I obviously believe in having fun, since we had fun with the flour before hand. Then things got serious, and you had to ruin it." She blushed and cursed her stupid body reflexes.

He stared at her and shrugged. "I am sorry. I'm not a big guy on being serious." he said and shrugged again. "You may think I am sooo serious all the time but I'm not because serious isn't fun!" He said nodding. That makes no sense but whatever.

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever. You are too serious and you know it. Yeah, maybe once in a rare while you'll do something fun with me, but it hardly lasts." She looked down at her wrist he still had. "And you can let go of me, I won't run off."

He glared at her. She was being mean and he didn't like it. "You're being mean." he said, glaring at her. "Why are you being so mean to me?"

"MEAN?!" She shouted again. "YOU SHOVED MY FACE INTO A CAKE I BAKED FOR YOU? AND I'M BEING MEAN?"

"Okay. What do you want from me?" He asked staring at her. "You say I am too serious and you want me to be fun, and then when I am fun you get mad at me." He said all very calmly and slid his hands from around her wrists to just holding onto her hands.

She continue to glare at him. She was slowly becoming immune to his charm. "There's a line between being fun and just being mean. You crossed that line."

"No I didn't.." he said, giving her a small smile. "Come on...Just forget about it. You got all the cake out of your hair and its back to normal so I don't understand why you keep talking about it. It's in the pasttttt." He said, stepping towards her and pressing his lips gently against hers. He pulled away and gave her a pleading look. "Come on. Forget about it?" He said, giving her a good pout.

She didn't kiss him back. "It took forever. And one of the most important rules about girls is, not to mess with their hair." At least she wasn't shouting anymore. "I understand it's in the past, but you can't just ignore the past like it never happened."
