The Grand Staircase

OMG THAT IS SO AWESOME. you wouldn't happen to be eating right now, would you?

"That sounds cool! So, on the subject of competitions, what is with all the 'houses' competing and hating on each other? It's like, between the Slithering and Gryffindor tables, you can just feel the bad mojo." she shuddered. "So much tension, in a single school!"

Sorry!!! And no I wasn't eating at that time

"Well, that goes back centuries. One of the founders of the school, Salazar Slytherin, didn't get along with another founder of the school, Godric Gryffindor. They were, like enemies or whatever and ever since then it's been a big rivalry between those two houses." She shrugged. "It gets pretty intense, especially when a Quidditch match is near."

Addie nodded. "Oh, okay! I've read some about Godric and Salazar, but I'm more interested in Lady Rowena. I think it would be absolutely amazing to have met her, and had her as a teacher!" She smiled kind of cheesily. "I have a thing for knowledge, i love learning things...it makes me a great gossip."

Now you've done it.....

Lavender is the biggest gossiper in the entire school, so she smiles widely at Addie. "Oh. My. Gosh. Gossiping is like, seriously, my life! No lie. Like, I don't know what I would do without it. I need it to survive, it's like air to me." She nodded very seriously.

Addie gasped, and grabbed Lavender's hands in her own. "Oh good! I've been waiting for someone who knows everything abotu everyvody!!" She had been, because it's fun to have dirt on people. "Spill! Teach me all you know!"

Lavender could not believe her luck right now. "Oh my gosh! I don't even know where to begin! Right now I'm working on finding out facts about the gross caretaker Filch and the scary librarian, Ms. Pince. What do you want to know? There really is soooooo much." She grinned evilly.

Addie grimaced. "Oh, ew. Isn't he a Squib? Anyway, anyway tell me everything you don't have to edit for graphic detail or anything. I'm dying for some good gossip!"

She sighed dramatically. "Sadly I don't know much. But if you are ever in the library and you say something bad about Filch, all of the sudden Pince is there and she usually finds a reason to kick you out. That's why I wanted to start like, investigating, but they must be really careful."

Addie giggled. "I'll have to do some subtle mentioning someday! And get it on video as well." she winked, and could just imagine what would happen if she could get Lavender to go back home with her on vacation. Endless partying would ensue, she was sure.

There would definitely be partying. "I can't wait to find out. I may have to write a little article about it." She grinned evilly as she thought of how fast she could get a rumor to spread. Just then her charmed watch started to yell at her, 'Gonna be late!'. She looked at the thing. "Shoot. I have practice. Parvati will kill me if I'm late. I need to run." She started grabbing her forgotten dropped books. "I will see you really soon! I have a feeling we will be pretty good friends! And we should share our makeup stashes sometime too! And omg there is just so much we need to do!" She smiled and giggled.

Figured it was about time to end this scene, since it's been...like a week >.>

Addie jumped up and waved ecstatically, "Sure!! Just float me an owl, and i'll head over...wherever!" She was grinning from ear to ear, as her new friend ran off.

Omg i know right? Lol. But it's pretty awesome, since this was our first real serious RP without Djinn being all 'Human jello!!! D: D: D: D: D: I HAVE TO FIX IT BEFORE I BARF."

OMG LAV IS SO EXCITED TO HAVE A FRIEND THAT SHARES SO MANY OF HER OBSESSIONS! (make-up and stuff of that sort..)

Parvati is here walking up the staircase, planning on going back to the common room to unpack unless someone shows up. Yup.

CUE TED.

Oh look. Someone showed up. Ted was walking down, wondering where his favourite gryffindor was hiding. Seeing her he waved, "Hey Parv!"

"Ted!" Parvati squeeled and ran to him and wrapped her arms around him. "Hi!" She said with a large grin on her face. "How was your break, your Christmas, your New Years? I have your present! Do you want it now?" Happy Parvati is happy.

Ted hugged her back, "Everything was great, did you have a fun holiday season? And sure I would love it! I have yours too." He pulled the package out his bag and passed it to her. Inside was this and this.

Parvati grinned at him. "I had a great time! It was lots and lots of fun." She says and grins as she reaches into her bag and whips out a little box with this inside of it. "Here you go." She says and opens hers quickly and screams as she sees the little puppy. "Oh my gosh! It's so cute!" She says and opens the other one and just grins like a loon. "It's beautiful, Ted." She said and wrapped her arms around him. "Thank you."

Ted opened the box and pulled out the watch, "Cool! This is great Parv!" He slid it on his wrist as she hugged him, "You're welcome and thank you, I've needed a new watch." He hugged her tight, "So what did you do for christmas?"

Parvati smiled at him. "You're very welcome." She said and thought for a second. "Hmm, Well we were in Australia so in the morning we opened presents in the hotel and then that night after dinner we went and relaxed on the beach because it was nice and warm there." She said with a sigh. "Not like here where it's freezing as balls." Yes. Freezing as balls. SHE SAID IT.

Ted loves Parv. He laughed out loud at that last bit, "Freezing as balls? I really don't think that works, as you should well know. Balls do not like the cold. Nope. And a beach sounds great, that's where you got your great tan I assume."

"Well...That is why it is works....." She said staring at him blankly. "Because balls are not good in the cold.....So cold as balls is like cold is bad." She said and that didn't really make any sense but she knows what she means. "And yes." She said grinning. "Hopefully it will last me until it's warm enough to tan here again."

Ted raised an eyebrow, "You expect it to last until June? Not likely. So how long were you in Australia for? Until New Years?"

And Tam has to sleep now. So she'll reply to this tomorrow.

"Um, Well, Just until its warm again. Warm enough to go outside almost naked without getting hypothermia." She said nodding. "And we were there until the 2nd." She said with a smile. "What did you do for Christmas and New Years?"

Ted rolled his eyes at his crazy friend, "Just don't die of cold. It was all fun. Lots of time with the extended family and all. New years was a huge party at my friend's house with about a hundred of us. I think we actually missed the new year we were being so loud."

"Oh huge party, eh?" She says raising her eyebrows suggestively. "Did you meet any girls at that huge party where everyone was so loud?" She asked, giving him a little nudge.
