Slytherin Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]

Pansy ignored his comment about finishing her biscuit. "Really? Doesn't he get that things don't normally work that way around here? Who is it, because..." she never finished her thought, because like a black hole, all thoughts died when Astoria was around. It was like, if she couldn't think, no one else could either. She bit down on her lip to keep quiet, though she felt a bit of silent victory as Draco slid closer to her.

Omg I feel like a supervillain.

... This is actually kinda depressing.

Astoria smiled and took a piece of toast. "I haven't seen you in a while," she complained. James is having issues writing paragraph posts, because THERE IS NO THOUGHT PROCESS. I don't know what the hell she's thinking, because she's not. This is literally the best I can do. She took some toast. She whined. The end.

Draco noticed Pansy had fallen silent and slid his hand over hers, this was not what he'd wanted. Dammit. When Astoria spoke Draco ignored her. If he addressed again Pansy would flip a shit. "Apparently it's the Bell girl. That blonde on the quidditch team. And he has obviously made no attempts to understand our house or respect us and for that he needs to be taught a lesson."

"That's the thing about transferring in so late like he did. He thinks he knows everything, when he actually doesn't know jack shit about how this place works." She shook her head, celebrating on the inside though she tried to keep cool outside. He'd put his hand over hers and ignored Astoria. Maybe the party really was nothing to worry about after all. "Bell.. I could talk to her maybe. Scare her off. If she's not acting interested, then maybe he'll give up?"

Astoria cozied up to Draco and Jamesy threw things at her. "Oh come on, Draco. That night didn't mean anything to you?" Jamesy is now headdesking over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Astoria smirked at Pansy and sat back to watch the reactions.

Well this had become sufficiently awkward. Pansy pretended to look away and reach for some hashbrowns that were a ways down the table. She'd ignore them and let Draco figure out what to do about the little problem that had joined them at breakfast.

Draco was about to reply to Pansy about Bell but the he felt boobs Astoria pressing up against his back. Dammit! NOT HELPING. POOR TEENAGE BOY. As Pansy moved away Draco sighed, this was really really really not how he'd wanted breakfast. He also couldn't reply to that question... it would be unfortunate no matter what he said. He looked at Astoria but remained silent.

Jamesy kind of hates Draco right about now. Thanks for making this easier. Astoria, shameless as always, put one hand in Draco's lap because she's a whore. "So it meant nothing then?" She was trying to be all coy, but it came off as skanky and bitchy, just like always.

Draco sighed and didn't bother to remove her hand because really it would just end up back there anyway. "No Astoria. I can't say it was nothing. Honestly though, don't know what it is." Draco sighed and looked around to see if there was anyone else there. And wondered how long it took to get hash browns.

Pansy had a spoon of hashbrowns halfway lifted from the bowl, contemplating actually eating some of them. But she turned as Draco answered Astoria and saw her hand in his lap and how close they were sitting. She dropped the spoon and stared at him a moment. "Is that what you tell everyone? Because I could swear you said those same words to be last night. Nevermind." She got up without another word and turned to leave, storming quickly out of the great hall with a look on her face that said she would have shoved a pair of chopsticks up the nostrils of anyone who got in her way.

Astoria smirked. Muahahaha. She'd driven Pansy away. That was always a plus. "Don't worry about her, Draco," she simpered some more. "She doesn't matter."

Draco shoved Astoria away. SHIT. He jumped up and headed out the door after Pansy, he couldn't believe he'd done something so stupid! "Pansy!" He yelled after her but she ignored him and continued leaving so he ran after her.

Oh look what a lovely scene this one follows. Pansy walked in and sat down, glad to see that dinner was just starting to appear on the table. It had been a while since she'd been in here to eat, and with a certain sickness she remembered her last meal in here had been with Draco and Astoria, just before the big fight in the entrance hall. She sat down, looking around, not really sure what she wanted to eat. When you don't eat much for a while, it's like your stomach shrinks and you're not so hungry anymore. She decided to ignore the potatoes, which she never got to successfully eat with Draco around anyway, and scooped some green beans onto her plate instead.

Draco sat down next to her, but not touching this time, and started to put more things onto her plate. Some roast beef, a yorkshire pudding, some stuffing and some carrots. "There, start with that." Turning back to the table he piled food onto his own plate and started eating. He glanced over at her to double check that she was actually eating, her plate wasn't even full so he expected her to finish it.

Pansy opened her mouth to object to him filling her plate with so much, but stopped herself. She wasn't going to fight today. She hated fighting with Draco. She sighed softly and started eating, figuring that would be the only way to appease him. It was oddly silent; she wasn't sure what to say to him. She peeked at him out of the corner of her eye, put looked back at her plate before he noticed. Her mind wandered to Astoria, and she hated herself for wondering what he become of that, er, relationship.

Draco saw her eating and smiled. He really really really wanted to know what it was that she was studying but he knew that if he asked her anything she would take advantage of it as an opportunity to stop eating and that wasn't allowed. No way no how. Reaching forwards he noticed some spare room on her plate and put some potatoes on it.

Pansy looked at him as he put potatoes on her plate, almost smiling at him. "What, I get to actually eat potatoes now? Maybe I should hide away in the library more often." She stabbed one of the little round potatoes with her fork, debating for a second before stuffing the whole thing into her mouth. Awkward mistake, and she tried to chew it quickly. "Anything new in the common room I should know about, since I haven't exactly been there in a while..." She glanced at him as she ate a piece of roast beef, finding that she didn't really hate it as much as she used to.

Draco grinned as she ate the potato, "They're a treat food and please don't lock yourself away again." He shrugged when she asked about the common room and looked back down at his plate, loading up another forkful. "Not much really. Nothing too interesting." He watched her as he chewed, there was a small dent in her plate now and he felt a sense of relief every time he saw it.

"A treat food?" She gave him a skeptical look, something between amused and annoyed. "Well, one I'm not some pet, and two treats are rewards aren't they? So essentially you're rewarding me for running away to improve myself." She nodded and ate another potato victoriously. No news in the common room, but she wasn't sure how much she believed of that. He couldn't look at her when he said it, which usually meant he wasn't telling her something, but for the sake of getting along she didn't push the point.

"No, a treat food for special occasions. Like your reemergence into the land of the living." He smiled and speared a potato. From his own plate. "And who says you aren't a pet? You sure are cute enough to be one." He nudged her with his elbow to keep eating and put the potato in his mouth.

"Land of the living, huh? I was just reading, not dead." She rolled her eyes at him, quickly getting another potato on her fork just so she could enjoy them before he decided maybe the ones her plate looked better than his own. "Oh, Draco, you did not just call me cute." She gave him the 'what in the world are you thinking' sort of look, trying not to laugh. She shook her head at him, remembering several times before when she had told him how she felt about being called cute. It reminded her of kittens, and Pansy wasn't a kitten. At all.

Draco smirked, "I know you always say that cute reminds you of kittens but after that monster of your mother's raked my arm open that Christmas I've reevaluated the little devils." He watched her potatoes vanish. "So what have you been reading?"

Pansy frowned a little. "I've always hated that cat. Bit me when I was seven just because I tried to pet her." She shook her head and reached over to grab his arm and look at it. "Did those marks ever go away? I know they stayed for quite a while... Mum always thought it was because you pulled the stupid cat's tail or something. She won't believe the cat's just evil."

"That ball of fluff will one day take over hell. I'm sure of it," he smiled as she looked at his arm, "There are still a couple of marks next to my elbow, see?" He took her finger and traced it over the lingering lines, "Maybe we should let that thing loose at Blaise's mother's wedding."

"Huh. Yup." She could see the faint little white lines at his elbow. Damn cat really had gotten him good. "Maybe we could. We still telling everyone to show up on horses and stuff? I haven't seen Blaise in ages, not really since we all hung out at breakfast that one day. I miss him." She let go of his arm, surprisingly reaching for her fork again and eating another potato. She was going to take advantage of being granted potato access while she could.
