The Owlery

Cedric shrugged and turned back to Viktor, "You were saying?"

"Oh. There are just certain people I thought I could trust...but I vas wrong."

"Ahh." Cedric says, getting the 'I don't want to talk about it' vibes. He wondered just what kind of relationship they had if they couldn't talk to each other. "Happens to the best of us."

"Yeah," he said quietly. "I talked to Reg today."

"Oh!" he said, startled. His vibe machine must be off today. "How- what happened?"

"I ran into him before... It didn't go vell," he said sadly.

"Didn't go well?" He repeated, walking towards Viktor and hoping up on the ledge beside him. "I'm so sorry." And he was. He really wished there was a way for Viktor and Reg to just be friends.

Viktor just sat there looking depressed. "Yeah... He's still doing drugs."

Cedric sighed, "He'll learn. I'm sure of it. They all do, eventually." He hoped nothing bad happened between now and then.

"I doubt it. I'll see you later Cedric. I need to go." He got up and walked out looking all sad and such.

Cedric frowned, wondering if he could ever make Viktor happy again. If he would only go back to flying. Surely that was the answer. He waved goodbye and sat there thinking for a while before drifting back to the common room.

Dee skips up the stairs and looks around for a school owl. She tied her letter to the nearest one.

[Cue Marco...]

Marco made his way up the stairs, a large brown owl perched on his arm. He directed the bird toward a stand as he entered the owlery, taking a look around. "Hey there."

Dee whirls around. "Oh, hi. I haven't seen you around before. You new?" she asks, looking back to her owl.

He stroked the chest of his owl. "Not exactly. Just been on a bit of a vacation from school." He turned to look at her, resisting the urge to give her that up-and-down look that he knew would be worth it just by looking at her lovely face. "I'm Marco Montague. You a Slytherin as well then?" he asked, noting something green I am assuming she is wearing.

"Lucky!" she exclaims, tying the letter to the owl. "I wish I could take a vacation from here. It's fucking hell here." She tosses the owl take flight, and then turns around to face him once more. "Yep. Born and bred. I'm Dee Riddle. It's nice to meet you."

"So it is. Unfortunately I've still got another year here after this one." He checked her out from behind as she turned around watched her owl go and nodded as she faced him again and introduced herself. "Well, Miss Riddle, what year are you? I don't believe I've seen you in any classes."

"I've got two. So that makes me a fifth year. I'm one of the youngins," she admits. "Oh well. And I don't go to my classes much, anyway, so I wouldn't expect that you'd see me."

"Ah, I see. I'm a sixth, so I don't believe we would have any classes together anyway. Unfortunate, really." He leaned back sexily against one of the walls, crossing his arms across his chest.

"Yeah, probably not." Dee gives him a glance. He really was quite attractive. "Though I think he would be even harder for me to pay attention..."

Marco flashed her a smirk. "I know the feeling. I would probably be failing potions even worse than I already am." He stared at her rather unashamedly.

"You're failing potions? I'm quite good at it. I could help you, if you want..." She smiles at him, adorably and assuringly. OOH, ALLITERATION.

[*remembers Snupin*]

"Help from someone a year behind me? Well I'd have to be really terrible, wouldn't I?" he asked her, pushing off the wall to take a few steps toward her. "Lucky for you, I'm pretty hopeless."

Dee laughs and walks across the room to stand in front of him. "Lucky for me, huh? You think I WANT to tutor you? Just kidding. It's my pleasure."

Marco smirked down at her, keeping the distance between the two of them rather short. He nearly whispered. "I thought so. I may have to take you up on that offer one day." He glanced between her lips and her eyes, but stepped back and headed toward the door, talking back over his shoulder. "See you around, I'm sure." He smiled to himself and headed back down to the common room.
