Adrian dropped her wand arm and stepped up so that Severus' wand was poking her neck. She looked him square in the eyes and said with as much sincerity as she could muster and hissed through her teeth, "I didn't tell anyone! I didn't even know Tam told you I saw. She dumped that on me yesterday and that you thought I was the one who told Mya. I don't know who told her, but it wasn't me. And I can name 6 people who want 'such an ugly, pathetic little slut'." She couldn't look him in the eye anymore. "I don't give a shit whether you want me or not anymore, Severus." It hurt her to lie through her teeth with that phrase. She turned away and pointed her wand at the vase and table. "Reparo," she said calmly before picking the vase up and hurtling it down the hall and scooping up a table leg and smashing it against the wall again. She slid down the wall, panting with the exertion of all her fight leaving her, and sat there staring at Severus.

[*dodges and throws a couch*]

"Oh, I'm sure they want you, you're easy, after all. But they'll never care about you. You'll never matter to anyone, and you know that. I almost pity you... but then I remember, you're not even worth pitying. Yeah... you have fun with your little temper tantrum. I have a thousand better things to do with my time than watch you throw a temper tantrum," he snapped, lowering his wand and turning to leave. "Real mature," he muttered under his breath as she hurled more things at the wall.

"Yes, of course, because that's what all 'sluts' want. 'Oh, love me! Love me! Be my father figure! I'm so helpless and fucked up.'" She laughed cynically. "No one ever considers the fact that I like sex, and that I do it for my pleasure. A philosopher once said, 'There is only one single proof of love- to give without return or chance of recovery, and thus to be able to lose and eventually, to be lost in love.' It's horse shit. I know where I am right now, and I don't care for being 'lost' in anything." She didn't look to see if he had left or stayed for her monologue, it was for herself anyway. Her head hurt from all the shit that happened in the dungeons and from straight out lying about not wanting love. Everyone wants love, I'm not that twisted. But I'm sure as hell not going to let you know that you are right about me on any level. She laughed again and stood up to take her leave.

Severus heard her words as he walked away, shaking his head in disgust. He saw right through her, but he had nothing left to say to her. She wasn't worth his words. You really are pathetic, he thought to himself. Nothing more than a pathetic whore, not fit for anything but the dirty lifestyle she leads.

Adrian walked away without a backward glance. All hopes of Severus ever giving her what she needed was gone. She was stupid to think he would want her, or even understand what she was going though.

Severus and Lily wander down the hall, Severus looking like Christmas has come early and he got something other than shampoo.

Lily walked down the corridor, grinning and followed by Severus.
"Wasn't Hogmeade great? I'm so glad we got to hang out Sev."

[-assumes you meant Hogsmeade-]

Severus smiled at her. "Yes. It was wonderful. I'm so glad we got to spend time near each other... without any interruption. Well, except me being kidnapped by a book, anyway," he said with a laugh, gazing up at her.

Lily grinned. "Yeah. You getting kidnapped by a book wasn't so good, but everything else was wonderful. "
Her hair was still up in the ponytail, though not as neat, and she was holding the bag of sweets with the two books.
