The Black Estate (Victoria's Home)

"Argh Jenna I reeeeally neeeeed a boooook. We can floo directly to Flourish and Blotts. Pleeeaase?" Vee begged. She wanted to get The Alchemist's Curse by Paracelsus Newton. "Please Jenna?" She tried once more.

Jenna let out a little sigh, there was no use arguing with Vee. "Alright, but if the storm starts to get even worse we have to leave so we don't get caught in it." She continued sipping her hot chocolate, it warmed her insides like butterbeer did but this taste was more familiar and almost comforting.

Vee took a victorious sip of her hot chocolate. If that is possible. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou Jenna." She gave Jenna a big hug and an apologetic smile. While watching her back because she was still on the watch for Jenna's snow bath. They climbed into the fireplace and swooshed to Flourish and Blotts. Vee greeted the shopkeeper. "Hi, do you have books on reserve for Victoria Black?" She asked the stooped and wrinkled little man. She signed for her books, and he handed her a paper bag of books. "We can go now, Jenna!" She said, and they left for Vee's house, swooshing through green flames once more.

Jenna tumbled out of the fireplace, back in Vee's house. She stood up and dusted herself off before she and Vee headed up to her room so that they could wrap their presents and begin to make a dent in those nutella cupcakes that they had bought earlier.

"KERCHOO!" Vee sneezed loudly. They raced up to her room to drop of the presents, then went to the kitchen, where Remy was waiting with a lunch of cream of tomato soup, french bread still warm, BLT sandwiches (Jenna's had something that wasn't bacon), and more cocoa. Personally, Vee was starving. She drained her soup bowl in what must have been record time. "Remy, bring the wrapping paper to my room please." She directed to her house elf, who left with a loud pop. "I think mum is taking her afternoon snooze so we should be OK for an hour. And can we please change our clothes?" She asked Jenna.

Jenna nodded, signifying to Vee that she agreed that they should change clothes. She peeled off her sweater and jeans and put on a pair of sweats, a fresh sweater and an old pair of sneakers. She figured her mum would not be pleased with whatever she decided to wear so she figured that she might as well be comfortable and rebellious (sort of) than uncomfortable.

Vee changed into a pair of magenta sweats that were fuzzy inside and fairly new, hopin her mum would approve, a tee shirt from the 2007 world cup, Britain versus Bulgaria, and zipped up a new black hoodie. She twisted her damp hair up on top of her head and stuck it through with a decorative chopstick. "I think it is time for le cupcakes." She said, beaming with anticipation.

Jenna beamed, "Oh-la-la! Ze cup-i-kakes, zey luuk deelliiiciouuuuuss" She said with one of the worst French accents in the history of French accents, which is saying something considering she lived in France for four and a half years. But, she wasn't attempting to do it well, she just wanted to see if she could get a laugh out of Vee.

Vee didn't laugh, just rolled her eyes at Enna's antics and tossed her a sticky cupcake. "Heavenly..." She sighed, licking some excess nutella from her fingers.

Jenna took a bite into her cupcake and felt it's chocolate/hazelnutty goodness spread across her tongue. It was as if her tastebuds were having a massive dance party and were all happy-drunk off of the nutella filling and icing. "I could marry this cupcake and live happily for the rest of my life." Jenna mumbled, her mouth half full and her eyes glazed over from the joy of eating a nutella cupcake.

"No you couldn't because before you two could say your vows, it would have disappeared into your stomach" Vee giggled. "I'm going to wrap mum's robes really quick, I want to before she wakes up." Vee folded the robes and placed them on a square of thick gold wrapping paper and was soon twisting the edges up and when she was done, it was a piece of art. "I love wrapping gifts!" She said happily

"I ignore you, and your false-ities. This cupcake and I are going to live happily ever after and you will be an old spinster and you will say, 'I wish that I listened to Enna when we were 16, I should have taken a leaf out of her book' and I will tell you I told you so." Jenna stuck out her tongue and knew that Vee was just secretly jealous of her relationship with the nutella cupcake.

Except Enna knew Vee was right so she shouldn't even talk. Vee began to wrap the little yellow robes in neon green paper because she is just cool enough to have neon green wrapping paper. The way she folded it made it appear as if there was a flower on top, holding the package closed. "I am so excited for my new dress robes" Vee squealed randomly

Jenna got out her numerous bags of tricks and sweets and took some out and began wrapping some. "Mm, yeah, I'm excited too, I really like mine, they're not what I normally would wear but I think they're really pretty." It was a sign that she was in a really good mood that she said the word pretty.

Poor Jenna, her life must be so hard if she never says the word pretty. "I am doing your makeup" Vee announced Vee. "For Christmas I mean." She added unnecessarily. "I hope mum stays asleep for another hour. Well, a lot more hours." Vee wanted to spend her holidays with as much mother-free time as she could possibly manage.

"Okay! I'll let you do my makeup on Christmas, but you do remember I'm going home for Christmas day right? I have to be there when Henry and Anne make their announcement, I can't let my brother and sister-in-law down can I? Besides, if I miss it, my mum will hold it over me for all of eternity." Jenna figured she might as well agree to let Vee do her makeup. If she didn't, Vee would only wait until she was off her guard and then suprise sneak attack her. Hey! It had happened before and Jenna wasn't going to take any chances this time.
