Somewhere Private

"You're welcome." Cormac sighed.

"So" she smiled "what should we do?"

Cormac drags Penny in and falls against a wall and sits down.

Penny looks at him with sad eyes, and realizes he's really beat up from the fight. she runs her hand over his face "Oh Cormac!"

"How are you?" he said scratching his head.

she scoffed "That's dumb. What happened to you!" she ran her eyes over the obvious injuries all over his body

"I spoke with Marcus." Cormac took Penny's hand off him and stood up. "Are you going to be with him..?" Cormac looked away. "For the baby?"

she gave him a confused look "What? No! I-we-no. I WANT to be with YOU."

"Penny.." Cormac sighed. "It is his."

she looked down, feeling tears threatening to come to her eyes "I know...but I talked to him about it. I don't want to restrict him from being the baby's father" she let a hand absently brush her stomach "but I told him that I wanted to be with you"

"Penny," Cormac was choked with emotion. "I love you, But," Cormac turned away from her not wanting to look at her. "I think you should be with Marcus."

she reached an arm up to touch his shoulder, a terrified, sad look on her face "No...Cormac...please"

"Penny, It's what's best." Cormac shed a tear before going to leave.

she stood there, watching Cormac's retreating figure, the tears finally falling down her face "Cormac!" she called after him. she couldn't lose him. not like this.

"Goodbye Penny." Cormac left. He did not look back once. It was best this way.

she leaned back against the wall, letting the tears fall freely down her face. I knew this would happen. It was too good to be true. I wouldn't be allowed to have something this good happen to me. Icouldn't believe Ilost him already

Flint walks by, just roaming the grounds and see's Penny sitting against a wall. He slowly approaches her and notices she's crying, he walks up and sits down by her but no too close because that would be awkward. "Penny?! What's wrong?!"

Penny noticed Flint come over and she flinched slightly "oh hey Marcus..."

He looks at her with a concerned look. "Penny, what's wrong? What happened?"

oh hell he's the last person i should talk to right now but... she sighed and tried to wipe away some of the wetness on her face "I talked to Cormac..."

He gave a somewhat frustrated look because he knew something didn't go right with her talk with Cormac and it was probably all Cormac's fault for that. "Okay, so what did he say? Or do to make you upset?"

"he....he won't be with me. he thinks we should be together. because of the baby. I can't believe I let myself believe in this. i'm so stupid" she muttered the last part to herself as she looked away

He was shocked by what he had just heard Penny say. "Your not stupid Penny, don't say that about yourself. We just got put into a stupid situation." He ignored the whole part about him saying they should be together because he knew how he felt about that but not how she felt about it.

"No shit Marcus!" she cried out. she was so upset she didn't even know what to do.

He looked away shocked that she was yelling all of a sudden considering he was trying to actually be nice to someone for once in his life and just sat there for a while not knowing what to say.
