Room of Requirement

Teddy slipped around a corner looking for a new place to smoke due to all the unwanted attention the secret hallway was now getting. He stopped short when he saw someone standing ten feet in front of him but, after seeing the guilty expression on the other boys face, decided it wouldn't be a problem.

Scorpius turns around when he hears someone else enter the hallway. "Err, hi," he greets, feeling as though he couldn't ignore the boy standing near him. "I'm Scorpius," he says as he moves his bag to his other shoulder.

"Teddy." He greeted awkwardly. He noticed the subtle movement of the bag and heard the clinking of bottles shifting. "What are you doing here?"

Scorpius looked carefully at Teddy and considered whether to tell him or not. He didn't know if the Teddy would go and rat him out for drinking or be completely cool with it. "I'm going to the Room of Requirement," he finally tells him. "I've got a lot on my mind."

Teddy looked around and, seeing no doors, asked "What's the Room of Requirement?"

"It's this room, that becomes whatever you need to come," he tells him. He looks carefully at Teddy before coming to a decision. "Do you want to come? It might be nice to have some company."

"Sure!" he said, excited to learn about the room for future expeditions of this sort. "Umm..." he started, glancing around once more, "where is it exactly?"

"Hold on," Scorpius replies smiling. He then walks past the wall three times while thinking, I need a place to drink with Teddy, that won't have any sharp objects with which I could potentially hurt myself with if I get drunk and stupid. The door suddenly appeared on the wall and he smiles. "You think what you want the room to become while walking past the wall three times," he explains after seeing the confusion on Teddy's face. He opens the door and holds it for Teddy to come in.

Teddy peered into the room before stepping into it. It was small, yet cosy. He liked it. He wondered what Scorpius had thought to produce this room and hoped he could copy it at a future date. Walking over and sitting on a sofa, he asked "So what exactly were you planning on doing?"

"Well," Scorpius says while shutting the door and then moving to a couch. "I have these bottle of Firebeer," he says while taking the bottles out of his bag and placing them on the table. He looks at Teddy, trying to read if he is one of those people who objects to drinking. "I just needed something to take the edge off. It hasn't been the best day," he trails off.

"Ahh," he said, leaning forward to inspect them. "How strong are they?"

"It's the black label," he tells him while taking one of the bottle, opening it, and handing it to Teddy. "It'll get you drunk, but won't lead to chaos and destruction."

[*headdesk*]

Teddy thanks Scorpius and takes a large drink for his bottle.
[-would stop drinking/smoking if dee was disowned...-]

[*doesn't have the ability to do that yet anyways*]

[-would settle for her being sent to military school-]

"I'm glad you have no objections," Scorpius says grinning. He then takes a bottle, opens it and takes a seat on the couch opposite him. He takes a large swig, reveling in the feel as the Firebeer slides down his throat. "So what house are you in? I haven't seen you around."

"I'm new. Gryffindor." he answered, taking another swig. "You?"

[*thinks Dee would probably scare everyone at the military school and they'd kick her out*

*really does love both his kids*

*even if it doesn't seem so some times*]

"Slytherin," he answers then takes a sip of his drink. "I've met quite a few Gryffindors, they were all pretty nice."

[-loves his family even though his sister is an evil cow-]

"That's funny. I've met Slytherins and they seem nice too. I think this whole rivalry is overrated."

[*thinks that most families are like this in general- where the siblings dislike each other, and drive their parents nutters...or at least one of their parents*

*loves his family very very much*]

"Me too," he agrees. "Though, and don't tell anyway I told you this, but I think that many of the Slytherins are overrated," he admits taking another swig of his drink. He begins to slowly feel the slight buzz that the drink provides taking over.

[*knows that Teddy would miss his sister if she was sent away*]

Teddy takes a long drink before answering. "Well, I haven't met them all, but most of them seem to try to live up to Slytherin expectations. Even if that's not them."
