"Ok. One... two... Wait. Are we counting out loud or in our heads?" he asked, a joking gleam in his eye.

Nikki smiled. "Okay, we can do this. It was a perfect day. Now we end it and plan for another perfect day."

Fred made a "determination" face. "Yes we can," he said. With that, he stood up, offering a hand and a smile to Nikki to help her off the floor. "Come on. Uppsy-daisy."

Nikki giggled. "Okay. Now we just need to walk out the door."

"Ok. On three, we'll start walking," he decided. "One... two... three!" He walked swiftly to the portrait hole, Nikki in tow, and nudged it open. "One step closer," he said, grinning as the two of them stood in the doorway.

Mustering up her resolve, Nikki pulled Fred into the hallway with her. "WE DID IT, WE DID IT, WE DID IT, HOORAY!"

[Oh, I gotta go bed now. Night!]

Fred smiled. "Now you should get to bed. I'm sure spending the day with me has you just exhausted! Goodnight." he said sweetly. He kissed her one last time before turning and heading down the hallway. He threw a grin over his shoulder before disappearing down the corridor.
