Severus looked at him mournfully as he turned to leave, wishing he had the nerve to say to him what was really on his mind. Instead, he knew what he'd do- he'd stay silent and miserable, and never once let him know just how badly he'd hurt Sev. He watched him in silence, hoping he'd just go away, and not notice the evidence of his deeds that were left exposed in his idiocy this morning. Why, oh why, hadn't he thought to cover himself properly, even if he was only going to the showers? Suddenly, he noticed a drastic change in Remus' expression. He was doing something extremely odd- he was sniffing Snape. Sev realized it must be the wolf in him, and felt extremely apprehensive- were his senses strong enough to know what he'd done, and with whom?

[hahahahaha sniffing...lolz I wouldn't make it THAT obvious *dies*]

Remus rubbed his forehead feeling his headache coming back from earlier. He tried to hide the annoyance in his voice because it wasn't meant for Sev, it was meant for Malfoy who he'd probably never speak to because he'd have to keep himself from tearing the boy's limbs off. "Why is it always Malfoy?" He asked the question more to himself then to Sev.

[Just burst out "has EVERYONE slept with him?!" because it'd be rather hilarious]

Severus gaped at Remus upon hearing the words. "What the hell? How did you... You can seriously tell? Er... right, I'll shut up now," he said, trying his hardest not to meet his eyes. He uncomfortably moved his hand to the collar of his shirt, trying to cover himself even though he knew it was too late. Wait. Why should he even CARE? Why did he care? Remus had left him. Remus hadn't wanted him. Why the fuck should he feel bad about Remus knowing? He suddenly felt angry at him, the sad look in his eyes turning to one of rage. "And why the hell should you care, anyway? It's not like I matter to you, Lupin. You have no right to judge me," he growled, his hand twitching as he failed to re-button his shirt. He'd said it more for himself than for Remus- saying it out loud just made it seem more true.

His hands twitched as he watched Sev failing to re-button his shirt. A small part of him for some reason wanted to just reach over and do it himself so he wouldn't have to see the marks anymore but he knew he could control himself so he crossed his arms and closed his hands into tight fists. "Of course I have no right to judge you. I'm not stupid. I just can't help but be a little annoyed at this Malfoy kid who keeps..." His lips pursed into a straight line and he told himself to keep under control. "Never mind. It's none of my business anyway."

[Keeps screwing your exes? Sorry about that. XD]

[Ahahaha, taking out Remus's trash.]

Severus felt irritated at hearing Draco referred to as 'That Malfoy Kid', but chose to keep quiet about that. He couldn't help but let his eyes linger on Remus' pursed lips for just a moment before he looked away over his shoulder. He clenched his fists, thinking that there were few things he wanted to do more right now than punching Remus square in the face. The blood drained from his face as he forced himself to look Remus in the eye again. "No, you're right, it's not. Because you chose this yourself. This is the way you wanted things. I hope your happy," he said, his voice quavering as he held back his tears. That was it, he couldn't bear it anymore, he had to get away. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have places to be, and you're in my way." You were always in my way, always intruding in my life, just when I finally gathered the strength to move on. I won't let you do this to me. He wanted to say the words aloud, but he knew it just wasn't worth it. Giving him one last look of hurt and rage, he pushed Remus out of his way and stalked off, refusing to look behind him, no matter how badly he wanted to.

Remus didn't turn around. He wanted to shove the look Sev had given him out of his mind but it kept coming back. Whatever Lupin. It's over. It's better that he hates you anyways. He cleared his mind and walked off down the hallway, the opposite direction than Sev had left, and headed off to the library.

[NIGHT SEV!!]

*storms down the hallway but stops half way, feeling her whole body shaking. she's not sure whether it's rage or withdrawals, but at the moment the rage is winning out and she leans against the wall, her lip curled back into a snarl. how DARE Snivellus have the gall to call her a whore when it turns out he's done exactly as she had, and done it to a friend to boot. she's never hated anyone as much as she hates him in that moment.*

Severus was walking back to the common room when he turned the corner to find himself face to face with an angry Hermione. "Something wrong, Granger? Not feeling jealous, are we?" he said scathingly.

What have you got that I should be jealous of? I never had to rely on games and dirty tricks to get Remus to kiss me. Did it make you feel better to pretend that someone actually wanted that? Just when I think you couldn't possibly get more pathetic...

"Right, it was all about dirty tricks when he came back to me night after night, begging for more," he replied, his eyes twinkling with amusement at her obvious fury. "And I see no need to pretend anything, after all, a kiss never lies," he said, the words slurred together.
