The Fireplace

Penny just sat on the couch and stared at the ground. she heard Evan leave and vaguely wondered if he'd hurt the guy. but that was stupid. of course he would.

Marcus wrapped his arms around her waist. "Don't worry. Evan can take care of him. I'm not leaving you."

she nodded slowly, eyes still staring at the ground, and leaned back into him

"Do you want to leave? We can go to my dorm if you want...You can stay there until you are comfortable with staying in yours."

she nodded fervently "yes please"

He stood up and helped her up and walked off with her to his dorm.

Marcus walked into the common room and sat down on the couch. . . BORED.

Scorpius enters the common room and sits down on the couch, because he hasn't talked to his "cousin" in ages.

Draco walks in and sees Scorpiass and sits next to him, "Hey Scorp! You'll never guess what I did. Unless someone told you..."

"Haven't heard from you or about you in ages," he replies while giving his cousin a smile. "I'm guessing it's something good, because your mood is far different from the pissy git that was in the common room a few weeks ago."

Draco smirked at him, "It was EXCELLENT. I got married." He watched Scorp's face as the news sank in.

Scorpius stares at Draco, his mouth falling open in shock. He blinks a few time before frowning and wrinkling his brow. "Married? But to who?! Who the hell have you decided to bind yourself to for life?"

[Change that bound to bind... it bothers me ]

Draco smirked even more, "Pansy Parkinson. Well Pansy Malfoy now. We eloped and got married in Paris... "

"Pansy?! Pansy fucking Parkinson!" he says after his jaw drops. "Wow...I uhh...I didn't know you guys were able to work through whatever it was that happened with Zabini. Huh," he says while thinking deeply for a moment.

"Well after she broke up with him we sorta decided to try being friends again and then she died and I realized I love her and so I took her to Paris and we got married... see?" Draco wasn't sure how much sense he was making but whatever.

Scorpius shakes his head as he attempts to digest all this new information. "Died? She fucking died?! Well, I'm glad that she's alright. Err, congratulations," he adds.

"Thanks, anyway the point of telling you all this, aside from updating you on my life, is that Mother insists upon a vow renewal this summer." Draco looked him in the eyes as he said this, "And I need a best man."

"Oh! That's great," he says while thinking about how interesting a reception would be with everyone there. "Yeah, err, Zabini is definitely out of the equation," he says scratching his neck awkwardly. He has a feeling where this is all going, though decides to not make an assumption after Draco's statement.

"Yeah. Would you be my best man?" Draco said this then had to sign off and run so Scorp can say yes then you can end this however you want.

[ignore me! They've headed off to the pool just now i'm in the condo on my phone so it'll be much slower!]

[Sorry! Had to pick up my sister cuz my parents are lamesauces and forgot her. *grumbles* If you're NOT here, I'll just edit it in a little while]

Scorpius glances at his cousin, whom he really hasn't seen very much recently. Him? Best man? He supposes that it makes sense though, they used to be really close. Perhaps this would bring them even closer. "Sure," he says while a smile slides onto his face. "I mean, yes, I'd love to. When during the summer is the ceremony going to be?"

"thanks mate, it'll be in July. I really appreciate it." He smiled at his cousin. "Well I'm off to find the wife now. I'll let her know you've agreed."

[And now we ca go to out little lake scene and it'll all be grew hurrah!]

"Right, excellent," he grins. "See you soon," he calls as his cousin walks out. He remains sitting on the couch, when a note flutters into the room. He glances at it curiously as it lands in front of him. Whoever sent it must have charmed it to find him. He quickly opens and read it, blanching at what it says. He feels immediately concerned for his knitting buddy, but knows that he must find Regulus first. He quickly stands up and leaves the common room, intent on searching the dorm first then the rest of the castle.
