Evan sighs and gives her a rough hug, because that's about as affectionate as he gets.

"You gotta be careful of that shit, little sis. It gets messy. Is he worth this crap? He always flip like a little bitch when anythin' happens?"

Evan smirks back. Well, they all look little to him. Especially that twelve year old in the Common Room earlier, who had tried to pass herself of as a fifth year. What the fuck was that about? He looks around the room, but can't find any decent sorts (shame about that blonde piece going off with that preppy lookin' Gryff, really), so he grins at his sister. He takes her arm and leads her onto the dance floor.

"Well I guess you can spare a dance for your big brother, then."

she laughed "really? ah hell why not, not like this prom isn't shot to hell anyway!" she grabbed his hand and lead him to the dance floor. she couldn't use ALL her moves because Evan was her brother, and that'd be AWKARD

If Evan ever sees Penny dancing like a hoe, he'll bitch slap her into next century. Yeah. Luckily for them, a nice, respectable song is on and they can pull some awesome ballroom dancing type moves. Because they're Pureblood. They're cultured. They know how to do that shit. And as an added bonus for Evan, it toally impresses chicks. He smirks.

"Hey, watch your mouth, Pen. You should be grateful your big brother cares so much!"

"Y'know, Pen, you might just make me proud yet."

Lightning fast, he changes direction, hoping to catch her cheeky, smirking self off-guard.

Penny stumbled a bit but caught herself before she fell completely when Evan changed direction on her. she smacked him on the arm "you did that on purpose!"

He catches her hand in his own when she smacks at his arm, squeezing it just tight enough to be uncomfortable for her. He gives her a hard look.

"I did. Learn to pay attention and you won't get caught out."

Then, he softens. This is important, she needs to learn how to be more aware, more self-sufficient, more prepared. But this is her prom, which is something girls usually care about, and that Marcus bitch has given her enough shit for one night. His hand releases hers and he sticks to more practiced, easy moves for her.

"Charming, Pen. Really. But I'm not kidding, you really do have a lot to learn, and you sure as shit ain't gonna get the education you need if we leave it up to your classes," he spits the word out. "It's up to me, sis, and I'm gonna train you, teach you what you need to know to get by out in the real world."

"I mean, it's not all fuckin' proms and Herbology class out there. There's shit comin' that you wouldn't even understand, not really. And I don't want you gettin' in anything over ya head. You're my kid sister and it's my job to look out for ya and I'm gonna teach ya how to take care of yourself. You hear what I'm sayin' to you, Penny?"
