Colin snorted out a laugh. "What am I, a ten-year-old?" he asked, then grinned and flipped his hair again. "Naw, of course I didn't. I just introduced myself and asked if he would be willing to be part of the yearbook. That's all, I promise!"

"Calm down I wasn't being accusatory!" Milli laughs. "You do that a lot," she notes curiously.

"Do what?" Colin asked, cocking his head. "Think you're being accusatory?" He grinned.

"No. Flip your hair."

Colin frowned, thinking. After a while of debating, he realized that, yes, perhaps he did it a lot. "Yeah, I spose," he said, running a hand through the afore-mentioned hair. "It can't be all flat all the time, though!" He grinned again.

"I know that," Milli laughs. "It's just kinda funny sometimes, that's all."

"Maybe it's my quirk," Colin said thoughtfully. "Everyone has quirks, I've heard." He grinned. "Or, then again, maybe it's taking pictures. I'm not the one who'll know."

"It's the hair flip," Milli says in an offhand voice. "What's my quirk?"

"Being awesome?" Colin guessed, then grinned. "Well... I suppose it's your frankness. You don't beat around the bush like other girls." He gently took her hand. "I like that."

"I guess I do," Milli says thoughtfully. "Thanks." She smiles.

"Better to let us clueless guys know what you're thinking rather than getting all upset," Colin remarked, finishing his food, which we'll pretend he was eating all this time.

Milli has been eating the entire time. "Yep! And that's how I want people to treat me, so I'm going to treat them the same way."

"I hope I've treated you that way," Colin said worriedly.

"Well, only you know the answer to that. I can just hope that you have been. But from what I know, you have been honest," Milli says, truely hoping that he wasn't hiding anything from her.

Colin smiled as a guilty memory of Harry looking at him funny popped up. But then that would result in Harry's death if he told her! What was he supposed to do?! He tried not to let it show. "I have," he said quietly. "Why wouldn't I be honest with you?" Sometime, though, he knew he would tell her. Maybe when Harry was around, so he could ask Harry about it to make sure it was just his paranoia.

Milli noticed a breif hesitation and panicked internally. What was he hiding from her? Or was she just over-reacting? But she didn't betray any emotion except for a grin, and said truthfully, "I have no idea."

"Good then," he whispered, leaning across the table to kiss her.

Milli sighed happily and kissed him back. She was just over-reacting. I mean, the guy told me he loves me, she reasons. He's not going to keep things from me.

For some reason, Colin had a strange feeling that Milli suspected something. Should he be frank? No, he decided, he'd wait until he found out something more from Harry. Best not to make assumptions, right? He entwined his hand in her hair as he leaned into the kiss.

Milli slid her hand under Colin's shirt and rested her hand on his chest while pulling him closer to her. The table had gotten in the way, so she stood up, leaning over it.

Colin's skin tingled as he felt Milli's hand so close to his heart, which had started beating a little bit faster. He felt himself being pulled, so he stood up as well, snaking one arm around her waist, and moving as close to her as he could be.

[*thinks Milli should reply now...*]

[Milli would, but she's a little too busy creeping down at the lake. *glares*]

[*sighs* It's going to be over soon.]

[Yeah... it's over.]
