Madame Puddifoots

Louis led Lavender into the little cafe. He figured she was the type of girl who would love this place, so he had made it the first stop on their date. "Here's the first stop. Where would you like to sit?" He looked at her, smiling, gauging her reaction

Lavender follows behind closely. She had always wanted to come in here, since it was primarily a couples joint. She smiled around at all the pink frillyness. "Wait, first stop?" She cocked her head to the side and looked at him curiously. "I don't care where we sit." She stood for a moment, just staring into his eyes.

He grinned at her confusion "Yes, first stop. I told you this was going to be a date to remember" he laughed a little and directed her toward a small table. "Just order something to drink, we'll be eating in a little while." He smiled as he gave his order to the waitress, and waited for Lavender to give hers.

She followed and sat all dainty like on her chair. She looked at the waitress, uncertain what to order. "I'll have an iced tea?" She said it as a question and blushed. She looked back to Louis. "How have you been?" She smiled at him.

He smiled "I've been alright. Bit anxious about the date to be completely honest with you. How about you? Anything interesting in your life?"

She bit her lip nervously. Yes there had been quite a lot, but she wasn't quite ready to share yet. "Oh, I've been really excited for this date. Nothing new with me. Came shopping the other day with Parvati. That's about it." She looked down for a moment, she hated lying to him but comforted herself with the fact that she would tell him everything that had been going on. The waitress returned with their orders and she smiled and thanked her, taking a drink of her iced tea. "So how many stops are there tonight?" She knew he wouldn't answer, but she couldn't help asking.

Louis smiled when Lavender said she was excited about the date and then laughed at her question "You'll just have to wait and see" He chuckled. He finished his tea and looked at her "So. Any big plans for after Hogwarts?"

She pouted, even though she knew he wouldn't answer. "Sadly no. I'm still not entirely sure I know what I want to do after we graduate. I want to do something worth while though, like, help people in some way. Every one knows I'm good with gossip though, so I could probably work for the Prophet. What about you? What are your plans?" She smiled and took another drink of her tea.

"The Prophet would be a great job" He smiled at Lavender. "Me? Oh I'm not so sure. I love books so much I could see myself maybe working in a book shop or even maybe opening one of my own. I love books way too much for my own good" he laughed a little.

"Oh! That would be cool if you had your own shop! Need an employee?" She giggled. "Well, I would have to be your first customer. I'd have to buy the first book you told me about, The Hobbit." Yes. She actually remembered a book title.

He smiled "I would love a beautiful employee" he chuckled a little "And you know, I could always lend you The Hobbit if you really want to read it," he teased, surprised that Lavender Brown of all people could remember the title of a book

She smiled. "Well, I would love to read it sometime." She probably wouldn't actually read it. She was thinking of someone she knew that would probably be able to tell her what happens in the book. She looked around the little shop, "Have you ever been in here before?"

[oh my god. i am so sorry. -kicks school and social life-]

Louis smiled and shook his head, "to be honest, no. I thought it would be someplace you would like though, so I thought we'd try it. It's not so bad." He waited for Lavender to finish her drink so that he could take her to the next part of the date. [which i kinda forgot what i was gonna do cuz i haven't posted since like, wednesday, so i'm definitely winging it XP]

Lavender finished off her drink. "I've never been in here either. It's not so bad. So, where to next?" She smiled widely, excited to see what else the date had in store.

He grinned, "Wait and see" He laughed a little at the frustrated expression on Lavender's face. He called for the check and left a small tip on the table. Standing up, he held out his hand for Lavender "shall we?"

She practically jumped up, which caused her chair to tip over. She blushed and giggled. "Oops." She set the chair back upright then smiled at Louis. "Let's go." She grabbed his hand and slid closer to him.

He laughed and led her out of the cafe, sliding an arm around her waist
