A Field in Hogsmeade

Louis led Lavender out to this field where there was a blanket sitting on the grass with a picnic basket and a guitar case leaning up against the tree. He tightened his grip around her waist and waited for her reaction

[I JUST SQUEEEEEEEED AND GOT A FUNNY LOOK BUT I DON'T CARE.]

Lavender looked around at everything. Her eyes kept darting back to the guitar, knowing full well she would melt on the spot if he sang to her. She finally looked back to him and opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out besides a small squeak. She looked to the blanket and picnic basket then back up to him again. "Louis...this is.." She still couldn't speak.

Louis grinned and took the opportunity to give her a quick kiss "Yes?" He smirked at her speechlessness, satisfied with her reaction. He led her over to the blanket and sat them both down

She kissed him back, blushing. "This is perfect." She sat down at smiled at him. "Thank you. You have no idea how happy I am right now." She grabbed his hand and suddenly wondered when she should tell him about what happened with Seamus.

He smiled and began pulling sandwiches and other picnic foods out of the basket. "I'm glad you like it. I put a lot of effort into this" he laughed lightly and rested his arm around her shoulder

She cuddled into his side. "Well, it's much appreciated. But there's..." She bit her lip. Was now the time? She took a deep breath. "There's something I need to tell you."

Louis pulled back a little, giving her a confused look "What is it Lavender?"

She didn't look at him. "Well. Erm...I saw Seamus the other day.." She twiddled her thumbs. "He, uh, told me he had feelings for me and then he kissed me." She said it all very fast, mumbling a little.

Louis froze inside "wait, wh-what? Seamus?" He looked at the ground, trying to figure things out in his head. "He...he kissed you? What did you do?" He looked up at her, searching her face for any sign of the fact she didn't like it, that he wasn't here for nothing.

Her eyes instantly filled with tears. "Ikissedhimback." She turned so the she was facing him full on. "But I pulled away. It didn't feel right. Not like the way it feels when I kiss you. Not even close. It just wasn't right. And I wanted to tell you, because I want to be honest with you from the beginning. I understand if you are upset. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have...I shouldn't have put myself in that situation. If you want me to go I completely understand." She was breathing heavily and was holding back tears.

Louis stared at her, trying to process everything. so she kissed him back, that hurt, but she said it wasn't anything like kissing him. That made him feel a little better. And she wanted to be honest with him, he respected that. Without saying anything, he pulled her into a hug, holding her tight. "You're here now and that's all that matters" he said softly in her ear "As long as it doesn't happen again, and thank you for being honest with me"

A few tears escaped her as he pulled her close. She wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him back. "Oh Louis, I don't deserve you. You're too perfect. Don't worry, it won't ever happen again. I told him it would be best if we didn't see each other anymore." She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She was amazed he still wanted her here. She felt horrible about what happened. "I'm so sorry. I didn't want to ruin the date, but I needed to tell you."

He squeezed her tightly before letting go and tried to give her a reassuring smile "I'm glad you told me now, instead of me finding out from someone else later." He grabbed a sandwich and held it in front of her "Shall we eat?"

She smiled and nodded. "Yes. I'm starved. Thank you for being so understanding." She grabbed the sandwich and took a bite. "Okay. New subject. Something happier." She giggled, slowly returning to her normal self.

He smiled and took a sandwich for himself. "Alright, I agree." He thought for a moment before deciding on something. He set down his sandwich and pulled over the guitar case, opening it and taking out his guitar.

he looked over at her, smiling "This is something I like to do in my spare time. I taught myself." He waited to see her reaction to it all

She dropped her sandwich and her jaw when he pulled the guitar over. Again, she couldn't make words, her mind was a jumble of nothingness. She spluttered incoherently for a while before blushing and looking down. She was grinning like a loon when she finally looked up. She whispered "Play me something?"

Louis grinned at Lavender's reaction, glad that she liked his surprise. He laughed a little at her request "Well that's why I brought it silly" He began to strum a little

She was grinning like a loon as he played and sang for her. Of course she didn't know that muggle song, so she obviously thought it was about her. She nearly fainted when he sang "I'm Yours". He had an amazing singing voice and she actually wanted to tackle him and kiss every part of him she could reach, but she refrained. She blushed deep red and continued to smile at him, words completely failing her.

Louis was grinning as he played the Jason Mraz cover, and was extremely glad that Lavender seemed to like his song. He finished with these lyrics:

As soon as he finished he looked up at Lavender, waiting for her reaction

She wanted to cry, it was so sweet. She bit her lip to hold back her emotions. It was just all too perfect. She grinned. "Thank you. That was...amazing. You're so talented. And.." she bit her lip, nervous this time. "I'm yours too." Yes. It was a bit cheesy, but whatever.

Louis looked up at her, almost speechless, and he slowly put his guitar down. "You...you mean it?" he hardly dared believe his luck

Her eyes filled with tears again. She blushed and nodded. "If...If you want me." She couldn't help but be nervous, wondering if he wanted her at all.

He let out a whoop of joy and wrapped her in a tight hug "of course I want you! I don't want any one else Lavender Brown. You're the girl for me"

She gave a little whoop of her own and squeezed him tight. "And you're the only one for me, Louis Weasley! Gods, you don't know how happy I am right now!" She rested her head on his shoulder, and let out a sigh of relief.

He smiled and rested his head on top of hers, running a hand through her hair "I think I might have an idea" He laughed softly, closing his eyes, enjoying the moment.
