Kiora takes a big nom out of her cookie and then offers it up to Remus. "Cookie, daddy?" Remus grins and takes a tiny bite of cookie. "It's very yummy, baby girl! Thank you." he brushed her cheek softly and then gets a cup for some juice for Kiora, who is happily finishing her cookie after teasing Sirius with it cause she wouldn't let him have any and he was sad. Har har. And Remus is glad there's cupcakes cause he would worry if Kiora was near any knives.

Grinning broadly, Hermione spends the next few minutes bustling around making sure that everyone has a drink and something to eat. As she walks past Sirius, she stuffs a cookie into his mouth to stop him pouting over not getting to share Kiora's and laughs as her daughter starts following her around, offering bits of her half-chewed cookie to all her guests because 'good girls share'. To save Uncle Ickta the trouble of having to politely decline a mushed up load of cookie that might have come pre-chewed, Hermione scoops Kiora up and cleans her off. "Time for presents, baby girl!" she announces, passing her off to Remus to take her to the pile of presents while she fishes out the camera. Because ohGod you can just tell that Remus and Hermione are the kinds of parents who photograph every damned little thing.

Yeah...they would probably have over 20some filled photo albums of pictures before Kiora even turned ten. Remus happily carries Remus over to the presents, tickling her as they sat on the couch because he loved it when she giggled and flailed her little hands about. The squealing he didn't like so much - obviously because it hurt his ears - but he loved her so much he could over look it...most of the time. Kiora looked about for her new stuffed duck and Uncle Ririus handed it to her after tying a bow around it's neck. Not having paid attention, she didn't know where the bow came from so she just tugged it off and nommed on it. "Oh no, baby girl. We don't nom on bows. You might choke on it and that's not good."
"Not good?" She repeated questioningly, the bow hanging from her mouth.
"Nope. Not good." Remus grinned, pulling the bow from her mouth and setting it aside. He set the stuffed duck next to her too so she could sit on his lap as she opened her presents. "Mommy's going to take pictures too, so you have to make sure you smile really prettily!"

They would probably end up with a library full of Kiora photo albums. And sure enough, Hermione has just snapped about four pictures of Remus and Kiora together, especially the adorable shot with the bow hanging out of Kiora's mouth. Hermione hands the first gift over to Kiora, calls "Big smiles baby girl!" and snaps a whole load of pictures as Kiora unwraps a noisy gift that could only have come from Uncle Ririus.

"Leave it to Sirius to get her something noisy." Remus laughs. Kiora looks absolutely delighted and proceeds to press all the buttons. Sirius just gives Remus a very innocent look. "What? Kiora's just on her way to becoming a rock star." he laughed.
"Oh god." Remus winced. "Don't you even dare get her a drum set ever. If you can't help yourself though then fine, but they're staying at your place and she can go over there to make lots of loud noise."
"Sounds like a good plan to me." Sirius grinned, obviously happy Kiora loved his gift.
Kiora probably wouldn't like drums very much though, considering they'd hurt her ears too.

Hermione just gives Sirius a look that lets him know in no uncertain terms; if he ever buys Kiora a drumset, Hermione is going to use Sirius' face as a makeshift drumstick. She smiles widely though, as Kiora plays with her new toy (and makes a mental note to take the batteries out later). She passes over the next gift, which is a large picture book full of ducks.
Kiora, with a little help from Remus of course, pulls of the paper and bounces excitedly on Remus' lap, clapping and giggling. "Duck-ducks!" she squeals. "Daddy, show the duckies?"

Sirius childishly just pokes his tongue out at Hermy.
Remus is pretty sure his face is going to be stuck in a permanent grin from all this smiling. "You want to go see the duckies, baby girl? How about you finish opening up your presents first and then we'll all go see the duckies together and you can feed them. They'll want to help celebrate your birthday too! Oh look, I think Uncle Viktor wants to see your duck book." Yeah, Uncle Ickta was totally wanting to see all those duck pictures. Kiora giggled and waved the book at him. "Ickta! Duckies! Quack quack quack!" She dropped the book by accident. "Oopsies?"
Remus laughed and, holding onto Kiora so she didn't fall, he leaned down to pick the book up. "Here you go, baby girl. Lets try that again shall we?" She held it out again for Viktor to look at.

And Mya dies of adorable.

"Yora birthday, big girl ducky today, quack quack wuack," she announces, holding the book out to share. Viktor takes the book and starts flipping though it happily, holding it up to show Kiora some of the prettier pictures which of course has her clapping for the duck-ducks. Kiora looks around at the pile of presents, which is quite a reasonable size but to a one year old just seems like the most gigantic mountain of presents that ever was. Her lovely brown eyes widen as if she cannot quite believe it and she turns to Remus. "All for me? Where's Mum and Daddy's presents!?"
