Pansy and Draco's Summer Escapades

“Yeah, it’s a him,” Pansy nodded, tracing her finger down the dog’s long muzzle, laughing quietly as it closed its eyes. She scratched him quickly on the head before standing up to face Draco again. “We don’t have to name him right off, we could wait and see if he earns himself a good name.” She was quiet, but her eyes laughed up at his not-so-hidden discomfort with the suggestion he’d just made about the bath. Pansy smirked. “And you really expect me to believe that you would help bathe a dog? I know you Draco,” she said, taking the front of his soft green robe in her hands, “I know you’re not about to bathe a filthy dog. Even if it is our dog, or at least,” she added, after seeing his eyes widen a bit in worry, “my dog.”

Draco wrapped his arms around her and kissed her softly, "All of that sounds great to me, and I'm glad you understand. I will also not be walking the dog. He can just run loose in the grounds... After all," he peered hopefully at the dog over her shoulder, "He isn't even used to living in a house... He might want to live outside full time."

Pansy leaned into his chest as he hugged her, the top of her head fitting just below his chin when they both stood properly. "You don't like dogs, do you, Draco?" Pansy asked, narrowing her eyes up at him, but still smiling. "Well, you'll just have to learn to love him then." She turned to look at the dog who was sitting quietly watching them. She turned back to Draco, nestling her face into his neck and chest and taking a deep breath, remembering his scent. "He will stay in the house sometimes though..." She kissed him lightly on the chest, letting her eyelashes brush him slightly on the neck and watching as the goose bumps appeared on his skin.

Draco held Pansy tightly to him. He knew he was being played and that in the end Pansy would get exactly what she wanted. As always. Damn her. Gently he turned them both and, with an arm still firmly wrapped around her waist, he walked them towards the house, "Shall we get some breakfast? Maybe afterward you'll want to adopt a few of the local wild monkeys." Glancing over his shoulder he saw the dog following them.

She shuddered at the thought. "Oh, no. Monkeys are freaky little buggers." Pansy didn't have to look to hear the clicking of the dog's toenails as it followed behind her heels, and it made her smile. Pansy sighed, lamenting not having a house elf here to cook for them, and headed over to the stove where she started to heat up some water for tea. As she stood there staring at it, waiting for it to boil, the dog pranced over and sat right by her feet, lying down over top of her cold toes. She smiled at Draco who'd wandered up beside her. "You'll love him, too. I know you will."

Draco stared down at the dog lying on her feet, he couldn't believe it was in the house... What would his mother say... He still didn't fancy going home what with the nasty looks he was going to get for not inviting his parents to the wedding. They obviously didn't understand elopement or spontaneity... Losers. Glancing at Pansy he couldn't help but return her smile. "Well I'm sure you'll be right, you always are." the dog was really cute... And he didn't look like a shoe chewer...

"You learn quick." She leaned over to kiss him, laughing as the dog at her feet barked in protest. Pansy gave him an amused glance before sliding her toes out from under him and going over to kiss Draco. The dog jumped up from his spot on the floor and tried to squeeze in between the two of them, his tail wagging hard and beating against the cabinets noisily. Pansy scooted him away with her foot, closing the space between she and Draco and wrapping her arms around his middle. Not pleased with being ignored, the dog was still trying tirelessly to nose his way between their legs, to have them pay him some attention as well. He pawed at Draco's foot, trying pointlessly to move it aside, to separate him from Pansy. "Someone's jealous, I think."

Draco wrapped his arms tightly around his wife and glared down at the dog. This meant war. "Darling he can't come in the bedroom. You know that right?" Draco dreaded to think what that dog would try to do to get between them... He would definitely end up on the floor... Draco, not the dog.

The dog gave up for the time being, resorting to flopping down on the floor by their feet and staring up at them, whining softly at regular intervals, giving Draco something of a dog-version of the stink eye. Pansy laughed softly at him, somewhat oblivious to the silent war going on, before turning back to Draco. "Well, I suppose that's best. He would probably rather sleep outside anyway, I imagine. He is a jealous little thing, though, isn't he? I bet he could end up being the best-behaved dog that ever was. I think I'll even train him myself. It shouldn't be too hard." She smirked up at Draco, thinking how she had to work on training him as well. That's what her grandmother had always said, to pick the man that you love, and then train him to be the man that you like. Pansy laughed at the memory.

Draco gave the filthy little mutt one last glare then turned back to Pansy with a disbelieving look. Well behaved?!?!?! Like that was ever going to happen. As her laughter rang through the kitchen he had to smile, and pulling her into another tight hug, ignoring the growls from the dirty mongrel on the floor, he put his lips close to her ear, "What's so funny?" As the words escaped he moved his head further down to place light kisses on her neck. He'd show that dog who was boss around here.

"Nothing." She whispered back to him, trying to keep her laughter to a minimum as the dog's throaty growls drifted up from the floor. She pulled her arms back from around his waist to rest her hands on his chest, one of them drifting to the back of his neck. The dog - who really does need a name - got up from the ground and barked at them before resuming his low growls and pacing back and forth nervously.

Draco gave the dog a smug smirk while Pansy couldn't see. He was totally winning. Hells yeah. He slipped his hands around the front and into her robe then back around to her back and under her pajama top. "Okay, now can you make him stop growling? Or at least stop smelling."

Pansy leaned against his chest looking up at his face. The water was boiling now, but she hardly noticed. The dog was still growling and was now attempting to nose between their legs, though Pansy's legs were now tucked safely between Draco's, making it much more difficult for the dog to get in between the two people. She sighed and looked down at him and he stopped digging at them, instead looking up at them with his puppy-dog eyes and whining softly. "Well I can't help that he's jealous for a little attention. You'd probably growl too if I ignored you."

"But you wouldn't ignore me," Draco had to resist the temptation to kick the blasted thing away. He doubted that would get him very far. "Can we put him back outside now?" He didn't loosen his grip on her, in fact if it was possible he pulled her even closer giving the dog the human version of the stink eye.

"Wouldn't I?" she asked him, smirking. Pansy bit down on her lip, reluctant to agree to putting him outside. What if he wandered off and didn't come back? But of course, that was silly, seeing how attached he'd already become to them. Or at least, to Pansy. As he bumped his cold nose against he back of her knee again, she scooted forward a little more and sighed. "Alright." She shut her eyes and rested her head on Draco's chest. "Outside he goes. At least until he has a bath and learns some manners."

WIN!!!!! Draco felt the feeling of victory rush through him and he smirked at the dog over her shoulder. "Sounds like a plan," gently he pulled his hands out of her robe and nudged her towards him. "Anytime now!"

Pansy sighed almost inaudibly as he took his hands away and pushed her toward the dog. She narrowed her eyes at him before she turned from him and led the dog toward the door, shoving him out and closing the door behind him. She turned to see Draco's quite smug expression and rolled her eyes, crossing her arms and leaning up against the door. She noticed the stove now, where the forgotten water was boiling, and she flicked her wand at it to turn it off. The dog was pacing back and forth just outside the door, whining almost constantly.

Draco noticed her looking at him and tried to get rid of his smirk but he couldn't. "Thank you love." He walked over to her and took her hand to pull her from the door.

She rolled her eyes at him, yet again, and made herself heavy so he actually had to work to move her. She tugged on a cord at the door behind her and a curtain fell over the window, blocking the dog's view inside the house. His whining fell silent and Pansy put on her best sad face. "You know, we don't really have to keep him if you don't like him."

Draco looked at her and at the covered door. He knew when to admit defeat... To Pansy at least... "No, we can keep him." He tugged at her arm again and, sensing that she wasn't gong to move, he swiftly wrapped his arms around her waist and tossed her over his shoulder so he had her in a fireman’s lift. "Now, do you still want breakfast or can I take you back to bed?"

Pansy gasped in surprise as she was thrown over his shoulder, smiling to herself because she knew she'd won this round with the dog. It would work out, she'd teach him to behave. The dog, that is. Draco, well, there was only so much she could teach him anymore. "Well," she said, wrapping her fingers around his sides and tickling his ribs. "It's up to you, really. Whatever you like best. I think I already know the answer though..." She smirked, though he couldn't see it.

Draco squirmed a little as she tickled his ribs but made sure not do drop her. He could here the smirk in her voice and for once didn't mind proving her right. "Bedroom it is then!" And he walked them off to their bedroom, completely ignoring the scrabbling at the door.

Pansy laughed, feeling a bit awkward at being carried to the bedroom like this rather than running barreling over one another to race there walking there herself. Once inside, she pushed the door closed behind them, unable to latch it because of her particular position of being carried away. She was promptly freed from her over-the-shoulder position, only to be roughly deposited onto the bed with a thud that nearly knocked her breath out of her. She heard a single bark from outside, but after that, the dog - which really still needed a name - was quiet.

Draco quickly undid his robe and let it fall to the floor before he crawled onto the bed in only his boxers. Situating himself next to her he tugged on the tie to her robe too and the second it was open slid his hands inside it to wrap around her and pull her onto him. In the back of his mind he vaguely noticed that the infernal dog had shut up but it wasn't on his current list of priorities...

Pansy shrugged out of her own robe once Draco had undone it, leaving it on the bed beside them. She hovered above him a moment, placing a leg on either side of him before lowering her face to his. What she didn't know was that the now-quiet dog - who we shall hereby name Sam - was busy circling the house, searching for a way in. He found it around the side, a door that hadn't shut properly, and he shoved it open with his head before slinking through the house, searching for his two favorite people. Well, his favorite person and the one that takes her away from him.
