A Little English Cottage

Marcus slid his arms around her waist and pulled her into his lap kissing her deeply.

Scorpius sees the house number that Flint had given him and walks up to the small cottage. It was rather nice, he couldn't deny that. There was something about it that he liked a lot more than Malfoy Manor. He goes to the front door, and notices that it's ajar. He peers inside and sees Flint and Tam...kissing. He blinks once, crosses his arms, and clears his throat, all while trying to prevent a smirk from sliding on his face because of what he was seeing.

Tam hear the cough and pulled back, still sitting on Marcus' lap, "Scorp!" her face lit up and she stood up and ran over to hug him, "how are you?"

Flint jumps hearing someone at the door and pulls away from Tam to see who it is. He see's scorp and jumps up with Tam to go see him. "hey Buddy you came!"

"I'm alright," he answers Tam with a small smile while hugging her back. He then pulls away and claps Flint on the shoulder. "Yeah, I did," he says to Flint. "Needed some answers and explanations. Nice place you've got here Tam," he says glancing around.

"Yeah, I did kind of leave out of blue."

Tam pulled back, "Thanks. Tea?"

"Sure, tea would be great," he says smiling. "Then maybe we can all discuss...this."

Flint walked down to the table and sat down gesturing Scorp to sit down.

"Mmhmm" She passed him a cup of tea and poured herself another. "Ask away"

"Thank you," he sitting down and then taking a sip of his tea. "Why?" he asks. "Why did you both leave? Why here?"

Flint looks up at Scorp. "Well for me it was Penny and Cormac, I just couldn't deal with her switching back and forth. So... when I found out Tam left." He looked over at her and smiled. "I had to come find her."

[i can't believe you. seriously?! URGH. no i don't hate you. i just hate that you made flint leave to come and be with tam! D:]

Tam smiled at Marcus then turned back to Scorp, "I just needed to get out of there... I wasn't liking myself there and after I got into a few major rows I decided I needed to get away and think. So I came here..."

Scorpius listens to them tell him their reasons. "I suppose that makes sense. But does running from your problems really help? I mean, when you return, they'll still be there. You guys are returning, right?" he asks looking between the two.

Tam glanced at Marcus, "Well to be honest I wasn't planning to..."

"I haven't really planned anything out yet."

"So what's the plan then?" he asks sitting back. "Just live in this cottage forever? I mean, do you really have the money for that Tam?" he asks looking at her. "And Flint, why here? I didn't even know you and Tam were....err, friendly."

He looked over to Tam and then back to Scorp. "Well, I needed to get away and Tam sent me the note. It just seemed kind of like a sign."

Tam smiled at Marcus again, "Well I'm glad I could help. And no Scorp, I don't plan to stay here forever. Soon I'll get a job somewhere around her and just live a simple life for awhile... then eventually when I want to I might go back. Or I might move somewhere else" She shrugged.

"Right, and are there really that many places around here that will hire you Tam? I mean, you haven't even completed your schooling and NEWTs. All you've got are your OWLs. I hardly think many places will be willing to hire someone with very few qualifications."

Tam shrugged again, "Well I've already been offered a few jobs, bartending at the local pub, working in the bookstore... it's not exactly intellectual labour but it's nice and social and simple... that's what I need right now"

Flint just sat there and sipped his tea. He didn't really know what he wanted to do. Part of him wanted to go back to Hogwarts and the other part of him wanted to stay with Tam.

Tam stood up and walked over to the counter, "Biscuts? A sandwich? I didn't get lunch so I'm making myself one"
