MALFOY MANOR

Narcissa, who didn't sense the possible disaster her husband meeting Faye could bring, waved politely and skipped off to the kitchen.

Pansy smirked back at Scorpius and gave him a nod before heading back through the entry hall toward the large kitchen where she started looking for Dobby to make her some food, nearly forgetting that that great prick Harry Potter cheated the wonderful Malfoy family out of said house elf a few years ago. She smiled as Cissy came in and she grabbed a tea kettle, setting it on the stove to heat up.

"Oh, Pansy! Would you like to help make sammiches sandwiches?" she asked, still smiling. "I could use some help in here..."

"Oh, about four months now," he answers his Grandfather after much consideration, deciding that AWF time doubles the real deal. His hand finds Faye's again and he clasps it tightly once more, sending a wordless apology to her for having to deal with his Grandfather. "You've been well Grandfather?" he asks politely.

"I've been fine," he answers quickly. "So Faye, tell me about yourself."

Dee bursts in with the kittens, Aquila and Camelopardalis. "HELLO, MY LOVELY FAMILY." And then she steals a sammich.

Faye opens her mouth, trying to respond to Lucius, but he was quite intimidating, "My name is Faye D - Faye," she stuttered and tried to only say the things his father would like about her, "I am in the, err, Slytherin house at Hogwarts. My favorite subject is, um, Defense Against the Dark Arts. I don't own any pets...don't have a distinct need for them. I rather like the idea of pimp canes...Other than that, there is, err, nothing else to say about me, sir."

"Hmmm." Lucius nods and sits down at the kitchen table, motioning for Scorpius and Faye to sit down. "And your family. Tell me about them."

Scorpius glances hesitantly at Faye, wondering what she was going to say. "Grandfather, the err... the weather's been rather nice, hasn't it?" he says in a lame attempt to distract him. The last thing they needed was a repeat of their last visit to Malfoy Manor.

Narcissa welcomes Dee and busies about in the kitchen. She's a good wife, oh yes she is.

"My - my family? Oh. Um, well, I...I don't talk about them much. See, we're not on the best foot right now. I hardly ever write them letters from school and I don't like to talk about them as much as most people talk about their families..." She shifted her position, growing uncomfortable and trying to avoid confessing her family's blood, "I get, err, upset talking about them."

Pansy glanced up from slicing up ham with a knife four times too large for the job. "Scorpius, with you bringing up the weather after such a question, I hope for your sake that Faye's related to Mother Nature." She lifted an eyebrow, pointing the enormous knife at a pile of sandwiches Cissy had put together. "Hi Dee! Have another?"

"Yes. Very nice. Now please let the young lady answer the question," he says as he starts to become suspicious. He turns back to Faye and cocks an eyebrow. "Upset? And why is that?"

Dee hugs her sister-in-law. "OKAY, COOL. Here, take the kids, will you." She dumps the kittens in Pansy's arms.

Pansy recoils and drops the kittens on the floor, but they land on their feet because kitties always land on their feet. "Nooo, no no no. I'm allergic, like, bad. No kitties."

"Dee, take those cats outside, please," Narcissa says with a sigh. "And then you can help with lunch, yes?"

Pansy laughs at the misfortune of the reject grandkittychildren and waves goodbye to them with the massive knife still in her hand.

"Of course, Mother," she says, and opens the back door. She shoos the kittens out. "Go play on the swingset, darlings." Turning back towards the group, she begins helping with lunch.

Lucius Malfoy. wrote:"Yes. Very nice. Now please let the young lady answer the question," he says as he starts to become suspicious. He turns back to Faye and cocks an eyebrow. "Upset? And why is that?"

Faye bit her lower lip and her gaze moved from one wall to the other. There wasn't much else to say about her family without giving anything away, "We had a bit of a, err, falling out. Disagreements. Things of that sort. I don't...don't talk about it." Her voice was shaky and she looked over at Scorpius. This was not going to end well, she could feel it.

"Grandfather, there's no need to pry," he says shortly. "Clearly she doesn't feel very comfortable in discussing her family, especially with the likes of you."

Lucius glares at Scorpius. "The likes of me? Care to explain exactly what you mean by that?"

"Just that you're not the most compassionate or understanding person," Scorpius answers, not afraid of the potential dangers standing up to his Grandfather could bring. After all, he wasn't going to let anybody fuck with Faye after his father and Aunt.

Faye gives Scorpius' hand a squeeze and takes a deep breath, "It's fine. Forget about it. I shouldn't be afraid of my family and their blood anyway..." She looked down at the floor, before bringing her eyes back up to meet Lucius', "My parents are Muggles. I am a muggleborn. If you decide to kick me out, fine, but I think you should know that it's already happened once before here in this household."

Pansy smirked, waiting for what Lucius would have to say about that. She was highly relived that this situation would successfully take Cissy's attention away from her and she was pretty positive that logically, she would not be bothered about having grandchildren during this visit. Success.
