Rosier Manor

Evan apparates to the front gates of his home with Andi, partially because it's easier than trying to bring her through the wards on foot, and partially because he wants to see the manor in its entirity, get the full perspective. It's not quite as impressive as the Black homesteads, Evan knows, there's a little less money behind it, but no matter. It's a more than respectable pureblood home and he knows it's certainly enough for the secondborn daughter of the Black family. "Welcome to Rosier Manor," he says, walking her up the path that cuts between the manicured lawns towards the main entrance.

Andi gasped in delight. "Oh, it is beautiful!" She smiled, imagining little children running across the lawns, playing Hunt the Muggle. That was Bella and her favorite game, so her kids would obviously like it. This was a perfect home for raising a family, not nearly as forbidding as the Black home. But she was getting ahead of herself. "Evan, it is just gorgeous!"

Evan feels a rush of pride at Andi's obvious and genuine love of his home. "Thanks," he says, and as they reach the front doors a House Elf opens them wide for the couple to pass through. The Elf stays silent, just the way Evan likes them, and bows its head low as Evan escorts Andi into the foyer. He dismisses it with a wave of his hand, thinking of a different type of nightcap than alcohol, and starts showing Andi around some of the lower level rooms. "It's been in my family for about five generations," he explains, knowing that the Black houses are much older, but still taking pride in his family history as all the good purebloods are entitled to do. "My ancestors had it built because they wanted somethin' as far away from the stench of muggle filth as they could get."

Andi enjoyed being shown through the lower levels. She let her finger drag along a pretty molding on the wall, or a particularly elegant piece of furniture, or a decorative lamp. She was entranced by the house. It was different from Grimmauld Place, a good different. "I like that it isn't in the city. That is one of the family's biggest problems... our home is surrounded by the dirty creatures." She rolled her eyes. "I wish we'd live on one of the summer estates and not in the city, forced to hide from scum, but ce la vie. It is much more convenient for the men of the family, and that is what matter most." She smiled at Evan, just overjoyed. "Your home is just splendid."

Evan smirks. 'Splendid'. He'll take it. He shakes his head in disgust as he leads Andi up the grand staircase to the second floor, the private quarters the family never really invited guests to share. "It's wrong, bein' forced to hide in amongst the muggles as if they're the normal ones. Fuckin' pieces of dirt," he mutters, so incensed at the thought of a proud pureblood family like the Blacks hemmed in on all sides by muggle scum that he forgets to watch his manners as he's always been taught around a lady. He shows Andi into the private sitting room, no less elegant but far more comfortable than the formal rooms downstairs.

Andi, of course, doesn't quite realize the significance of being brought upstairs. After all, her mother and sisters and her have gone upstairs in other houses before, usually after a party, to gossip. So, she just takes it as a sign that Evan considers her to be a close friend, as well as his girlfriend. She politely ignores his slip as he drops the f-bomb. "I know. But whatever is most convenient for the family." She sighed. "I do envy that you live here year round. A lovely house, and far away from Muggles and Mudbloods." She sank down elegantly onto a lounge chair, stretching slightly before crossing her legs.

Evan's eyes follow Andi's stretching movements appreciatively and he takes a seat next to her on the lounge chair, very close. One arm slips about her shoulders. "Well, I guess you can just spend your time here," he smirks. "Since ya like it so much."

Andi snuggled against his side, letting her head rest on him as she looked up into his face. "You wouldn't mind? I would hate to be underfoot, or wear my welcome here." She relaxed, letting her body mold against his.
