Another Empty Classroom (The WWW HQ)

"Fine. I'm going." Fred grinned sarcastically over his shoulder as he walked to the door.

"Good man!" Lee followed him out the door and headed of in the opposite direction "Best of luck!"

Fred sent a letter to Dee then waited there.

Dee walks in. "Yes?"

[Letter?]

[It would have just been. "Dee, We need to talk. -Fred"]

Fred looked up. "Hey, Dee," he said, shifting his feet. "We need to talk about what happened between us."

"Er, right okay." She sits very far away. "You want to start?"

Fred turned so he was leaning on the table and facing Dee. "I guess so since I'm the one with all the questions," he said. "So why exactly did you break up with me?" he asked, hoping for a straight answer.

"It was a prank at first... but the more I thought about it, it just seemed like the right thing to do." She takes a deep breath. "It didn't seem like we were really... working out. And because I had a magical baby that didn't belong to you. Yep."

Fred nodded and sighed. "I guess I understand," he said quietly. "Are we still going to be friends or is this one of those situations where it'll just be awkward forever?" he asked.

"I'd like to be friends. Awkward's no fun."

[And this is where you explain about Frikki. *waits impatiently*]

[I actually don't know if we're even untaped...]

Fred smiled. "That's good," he said. "At least now I don't have to worry about being attacked by one of your many protectors."

"Being attacked by one of them would not be the best experience, I'll admit."

[Fine! Time turner?]

Fred laughed. "That's what I guessed from what you've told me."

[We can have them talk about it later.]

She laughs a little. "Maybe I should stop being such a wimp."

[Ack! Fine!]

"A wimp?" he repeated. "How are you a wimp?"

"I don't do my own fighting, I guess." She shrugs.

[YAY FIXING THINGS! Dee, Tam wants updates later! And we need to talk anyway... she wants to tell you about Tater!]

[Sure. After eight? I can't focus on so many threads on my iPod.]

[By later I meant more like after 9 if you're still around then]

[Should be, so that sounds good.]

Fred shrugged. "I guess that could be wimpy. But at least you don't get yourself hurt in fights," he said.

She wonders why he really cares about her wellbeing, but pushes it to the back of her mind. "Still, someone always comes in and has to save the day. I can do it myself."

"Maybe they just think you need saving. It's not a bad thing. If you don't like it, just make it more known," he said with a shrug. He didn't really have much experience with fights though.

"I guess so..." She sighs. "Well, I'm going to go now. See you later Fred."
