Re: Hermione Granger
I love Emma, but I like book Hermione better. I think they translated her across to the big screen well though... better than others.

Re: Hermione Granger
There is no doubt that every character is better in the books than the movies, but it doesn't stop them being great.

Re: Hermione Granger
I was totally no expecting Hermiones significants in the first book, you know when they meet her at first and shes all snotty, I did not expect ehr to become such a main part. Ron was obvious from the start.

Of course everyone loves the book Hermione more! & I think they should have kept her hair style similar to the first 2 movies, but Emma Watson has done an amazing job portraying Hermione. I think she really pulls the role off! I wish they gave her the whole SPEW storyline...it would have been neat to see her dedication to that on the big screen.

Re: Hermione Granger
I give her a 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really wished they would have added the S.P.E.W. storyline in as well. Otherwise how is that scene going to work at the end when Ron asks about saving the House elfs and Hermione mobs him happily? Now they're going to come up with something that isn't as great and will probably end up being entirely too mushy I bet.

Re: Hermione Granger
Without a rating as such, Hermione was/is easily my favourite character in both the books and films (though the books are sooo much better). However in the early ones she did come across a tiny bit pathetic. Please don't shoot me down, there is not enough room to go on about how awesome she is (yea this is corny, but I don't care) but the early and parts of the later books were a tad sexist and reflected a little badly on Hermione.
I have a feeling I'm going to regrets saying this...

Don't regret saying it - the world would suck if none of us ever shared a different opinion!
Would love to hear more - are there a few specific parts that really made you feel that way? Sorry I'm curious, it's just something I've never really thought about before
[aww Remikins your vote is biased and doesn't count. But thanks! Iloveyou ]

Hmmm yea specifics are difficult. Throughout the books there is the impression that Hermione is the best with the spells etc, but she tend to seem reliant on being rescued (mainly in the earlier books). For example the whole troll scene in the Philosophers Stone. Sure, there was a massive troll trying to kill her, but she could easily have had some spell at her disposal to help (the one that did the trick was one she had already mastered). Adding the whole she is the voice of mature reason and not very rebelious and how the gets majorly used by the guys, it sort of adds up. ish. There is also her tendecies to burst into tears.
Please don't get me wrong, she is the awesomest character in the series, but she has a few flaws

Re: Hermione Granger
Well, if Hermione didn't have flaws, she wouldn't be as amazing. I agree that her flaws are more, for lack of a better word, stereotypically feminine. She is more of a damsel in distress, but Ginny is even more so in CoS. But, I like your point a lot!
Question: How many people thought Hermione acted really strange in the sixth book?

Yea, I sort of know what you mean, though explaining it would be pointless (that would involve reasoning... )

Hermione
(this face is so cute) But I like Hermione and I think she is nice and strong <3 And I don't see why you don't like Ron. He and Hermione are adorable But (holy sugar it's an that is cute!) Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have some work to do. I don't know how they re going to beat the Ron and Hermione kiss from AVPM/S
