The Bartimaeus Trilogy

Because me and Joel love it so much.
Even though I'm a fail, and never finished the third book.
I don't have my copy of the first one but I was just flicking through the second one for laughs.
Favorite Bartimaeus quote anyone?

Bartimaeus: "I wanted to wake you straightaway, but I knew I had to wait several hours to ensure you were safely recovered."
Nathaniel: "What! How long has it been?"
Bartimaeus: "Five minutes, I got bored."

OMG. And that scene with Tallow.
Where he actually goes up to him and asks "WHY ARE YOU SO YELLOW OMG?!"
Oh and when he goes "Hey, we've all got problems, chum. I'm overly talkative. You look like a field of buttercups in a suit."

Though to be honest, his lines aren't what make him a BAMF, it's all his footnotes...

I almost put this series in here a couple days ago, it's amazing. That djinn is brilliant.

I'm rereading these again, and writing a fanfic about the American wars that never, ever, ever get touched on EVER in the series besides "oh hey we need stuff for the American war, ahurhur."

I'm in two minds about the prequel being released.
I'm always wary of prequels, actually...

But the main reason I will NOT be buying a copy is because it won't match my other ones.

D: It's already out here. I'm tempted to not read it.

I found a review online, that said it was okay, but he makes a few modern references...which sucks, because it ruins the whole story. :/

Yeah!! They bought the movie rights to it (Miramax did) AGES AGO. Still no movie...but it's supposed to be whispered about. :/

Oh, the only links I could find when I just Googled were dated 2009...

And nothing on IMDB that I could see.
