The Fireplace

Narcissa flounced into the Common Room and sat on a couch in front of the fireplace. The Daily Prophet caught her eye on a nearby table so she began to read it.

Narcissa jumped and blinked. "E-Excuse me?" she stuttered. 'I thought the Bloody Baron was the Slytherin ghost...' she thought.

Narcissa looked at him warily. "Um, no thank you... God-sir." she said carefully. "I mean, there's always a catch, right? Whenever somebody in fairytales makes a wish, or is granted power, then they always... mess it up, don't they?"

Penny woke with a start. she rolled her eyes at the entity in the room that always seemed to pop in.

Cissy looked over at Penny with a raised eyebrow and cocking her head toward Djinn, almost as if asking 'Do you understand this?'

she shook her head. she didn't understand half the stuff that went on around here

Narcissa blinked, more than slightly confused, at the spot where Djinn had just been. "I don't think I have anything to wish for..." she said quietly. She shrugged it off, however, and continued to read the Prophet.

Pansy wandered into the common room, glad to be back after spending most of the day in the library, and glad to find it nearly empty for a change. She crossed to the large chair by the fire and collapsed there, staring off into space.

Scorpius enters the common room and notices a girl sitting by the fireplace. "Hello," he says sitting down in the chair across from her. "I don't think we've officially met. I'm Scorpius."

Pansy blinked as someone spoke to her, looking up to see a blonde guy settling into the chair across from her. For a milisecond, her stomach dropped, thinking it was Draco. When she realized it wasn't she gave him a half smile. "Pansy," she answered him.

"Nice to meet you," Scorpius says to her. "I've seen you around a couple of times. Now why is someone like yourself sitting here by yourself?" he asks.

[Doesn't know about Blainseyyy]

Flint walked in the room and sat down on the couch giving Scorp the sup nod. "Hey Whats up?"

Penny wandered into the common room seeing Pansy and Scorpius. she scowled a bit before sitting in a chair

[I thought Blaise told you??]

Pansy laughed. Good question. Probably because, oh, I screwed my possible boyfriend's best friend and everyone else I tolerate doesn't come around anymore. That's probably it. But she figured that wasn't a good way to start a conversation with someone. "Friends are a little MIA at the moment, I guess. Haven't seen Sev in ages, and Blaise since yesterday, and Draco..." but she stopped talking at the mention of his name. Pansy narrowed her eyes at the scowling girl who walked in, not knowing her or why she should be so grumpy looking.

[No! Blaise and Scorp haven't talked in a few days...and he didn't mention anything to me]

Scorpius gives Flint a nod and then fidgets uncomfortably because of Penny's scowl. "I'm sorry to hear that," he says to Pansy. "If you need someone to talk to, I'm not that bad of a guy," he says with a half-smirk/half-smile. He then thinks to his conversation with Blaise a few days earlier. "Oh you're Pansy," he says.

at scorpius' last comment, Penny snorted slightly...that's funny

She turned back toward Scorpius as he spoke up. "Well, thanks. Wait. What do you mean, you're Pansy?" Something about the way he'd said that made her wonder what he thought he knew about her.

Flint looks over noticing Penny. "hey penny"

[Well Penny, you hate me! What do you expect me to do!]

"Blaise is one of my best mates," he answers giving her a knowing look.

[well that's true. but marcus sure doesn't hehe]

she looked over "Hey there Flint" she smirked
