The Fireplace

"Night Flint" she smirked and walked up to her dorm.

*Comes in and sits by the fire, staring at it and imagining chopping that annoying Gryffindor up piece by piece and throwing him in*

Tam stumbled in and sat by the fire. She looked like a mess, her hair had fallen out of it's elegant updo and her tears had caused her makeup to run. As she swiped away more tears she wiped some of her concealer off showing a spread of purple bruises across her cheek and jaw.

[Why is she crying now?]

Severus walked downstairs, heading for the great hall to get some breakfast. He sees Tam looking rather distraught and sits down next to her. "What happened to you?" he asked, more out of curiosity than concern.

[well this is after the Tater conversation so whatever happens she'll be in tears...]

*Tam looked over at him* Why do you care? *she managed a feeble glare before turning away, tears welling up again. She couldn't believe that the only person to offer her comfort was Snape*

[What Tater conversation?]

"I never said I cared. I just asked you what happened, seeing as you look terrible, and I was curious," he said bluntly. "Though if you don't want to talk, I'll leave you to your misery. I was on my way to get breakfast anyway," he said, standing up to leave.

[Tam dragged Peter out of the dance to have a "discussion" because I had to go.... and the details of said discussion have yet to be worked out.... and it will probably make or break Tater so yeah...]

*Tam swiped away her tears, uncovering more bruises and looked back up a him* Sorry, that was uncalled for. I've just been fighting with too many people recently and it's gotten the better of me.

Severus sighed, and sat back down. Breakfast could wait, even though he was sure there were pancakes, yummy, delicious pancakes. "Who've you been fighting with?" he said, noticing the bruises but not sure if he wanted to pry- if she wanted to tell him, she would.

[Gee thanks... Tam feels the love... ]

Well with Peter, then most recently with Black... that stupid idiot *she mustered up a much stronger glare and aimed it at the fire*

"Black?" he said, suddenly far more interested. "What'd you have to fight about with Sirius?" he asked, his voice bitter with hatred.

Not Sirius, at least not this time. It was his brother, Regulus. *She couldn't stand either of them at this point and would like nothing better than to get them both out of the school*

"Regulus? Isn't he in Slytherin?" he said, not really familiar with the guy.

Yes he is. But as far as I'm concerned the little rat has more of that brother of his in him than he wants to admit.

Severus raised his eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

He's developed his brother's cockiness and temper. And he completely lacks any traces of subtlety, he should damn well be in Gryffindor *she stopped herself before she finished her sentence: with his bloody boyfriend*

[I know he can be sneaky and all that but Tam hasn't seen that yet]

[True enough.]

Severus tried to hide his amusement at how angry she was getting, and forced himself to frown. "What did you guys fight about, anyway?"

Just some stuff I saw. Then he fucking punched me! *is still angry*

"He punched you!?" he said in disbelief, looking at the bruise she was now sporting on her face. "He hit a girl? A girl like you, for that matter?" he said, looking disgusted.

[Do you realize how awkward it will be for me to write a confrontation between both of my characters? -eyeroll- ]

[sucks to be you... should Tam ask about the girl like you bit?]

[If you want.]

That fuckwit broke my jaw and my fucking nose. *the rest of his sentence registered with her* And what do you mean a girl like me?

Severus repressed a chuckle at the word 'fuckwit' but was clearly apalled at the thought that someone could actually do that to a girl, and a pathetic one at that. "I mean that you're not exactly a tough cookie, Riddle. You're no Pansy," he said, still focused on being angered by this guy's completely lack of morality.

*Tam wanted to protest but couldn't bring herself too* I just can't believe any guy would do that. Even his brother doesn't fucking hit girls.

[YES HE DOES, SIRIUS BLOODY PUNCHED ME IN THE FACE AND KICKED ME WHILE I WAS ON THE GROUND THANK YOU.]

Severus stared at her in disbelief. "Tam, did you forget the time Sirius nearly killed you when you were pregnant?" he said, looking at her like she was nuts.
