Colin suddenly remembers last night.
"YOU!" he screamed. "Too - young - oh, shut up. Any luck with YOU?!"

Whoa whoa whoa!! Why are you getting so excited?! What's happened?! Obviously I don't know!!! An. Yes as a matter of fact I do have my eyes on someone! But I hear YOU asked her first even though I'm deeply in love with her!! How could you?! And is this what this is all about?!?!?! *he was getting angry now...his brother stealing his girl was all he needed...*

"Oh, really?" Colin rises up out of his chair. "I'M stealing YOUR girl now? I didn't even know that you... uh..." He felt his ears getting red. About ready to shout, he took a couple deep breaths to calm himself down. "Listen," he said through gritted teeth, "we're all going to the gala as friends tonight. As FRIENDS. Got that?"

"Whoa, mates!" Scorpius says stumbling into the Singles Club. "Don't let a girl come between your friendship, or err, brothership! It's okay to just go as friends! Don't get in a strop about this whole Gala thing, it's not worth it! There are plenty more things to fight about!" And with that, Scorpius stumbled back out.

Colin jumps. "Er - hi," he said hesitantly. "I'm, er, giving him - uh - a pep talk. Yeah."

*sniffles feeling his cheeks turning bright red* Fine. Take her...I know you don't care about me. I don't want to go to the gala tonight! I know it'd be more than just friends for us three and I'd be left out and even more upset. I'm not going. You go...steal her away...

Colin slams his fist to his forehead. "Dennis..." He took a deep breath and started again. "Look, I didn't know this would happen... I'm not stealing her away, I promise, and we're all going to the gala as friends. You're going." He gives Dennis a quick hug.

It's totally fine Colin!! You just take Gabby!! I've got my own date!! and she's much more beautiful than even Gabby I'm going to the gala...just not with you two! Have fun!!

Colin is totally taken aback by his brother's sudden approach. "Ok," he said hesitantly, but decided not to ask. He could ask Elle tonight! But would she say yes..?
