It's my favourite Torchwood one, that's for sure.

Eve Myles, who plays Gwen in Torchwood, is in ep 3, season 1 of Doctor Who. It's the episode where the aliens are trying to come through the rift, and they're in the gas and they keep inhabiting dead people and stuff. And it's got Charles Dickens in it. Eve Myles plays Gwyneth, the undertaker's servant, who can sort of see into people's minds because she's been on the rift her whole life. I just thought it was kind of funny because she's Gwyneth from Cardiff. -shrug- The things you learn on your third Doctor Who rewatching marathon.

It's pretty cool.
Also, in one of the final eps of season 4, the Doctor and Rose notice it IC and ask Gwen if she's from an old Cardiff family!

It was one of the single most sickening things I have ever seen. I was trying to explain it to my bro, who has never watched Torchwood, and I couldn't even find words...
Seriously, don't think I'm going to get over that one for a long time.

Ugh. This and Children of Earth. Blergh. It just leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm halfway through 6 and Rex is talking to the director, all "Watch the tape we'll take it to the police someone's a monster we'll fix it." And I'm like HE DID IT. LOOK AT HIM HE DID IT. OMG. HE DID IT.

Ugh, yes! That director scares the fuck outta me, ngl. The first time I saw him I was like 'oh creeper, I hope Vera kicks him in the balls' BUT I HAD NO FREAKING IDEA HOW FAR HE WOULD GO.
Just, ugh. I have uneasy feelings in my tummy now, just thinking about him.
Also, I both love and hate Rex.

Me too, about Rex. At first I thought he was pretty much a dick, but now I kind of love him and HOLY SHIT WHAT IS COLLIN DOING WITH THAT PEN PUT THE PEN DOWN OH GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING I'M SCARED calculus homework break I can't watch this.

I love that you take a homework break from watching Torchwood, not vice versa.
OH GOD NO, THE PEN! 5 & 6 are the most intense episodes of anything ever, I swear!
And yeah - he's a complete dick, but he's awesome too. I love how he and Jack play off each other as well, they're gold together.

Haha yeah it's not really a break, though. More of a googling section because I forgot all of my trig identities... Oops.

I'm taking these episodes in installments. I watch until I need a break (usually just a couple seconds of Rex screaming in agony) and then I stare at my calc homework for a while. Fucking scary shit.

The Torchwood writers freak me the fuck out.

It kind of worries me, how people can write these things... I think my favourite is probably when the lady got locked in the car that was crushed. That was the first time I REALLY freaked out this season.

Omg yeah that's when I started freaking out. My brain the whole time during that scene: They wouldn't show it, right? I mean, it's obvious what's going to happen. But they wouldn't show. No, of course not. That would be - why hasn't it cut out yet? They're not going to show it are they? That's just - that's just WRONG. They wouldn't actually show - HOLY SHIT.

Pretty much sums up this whole season for me.

I keep expecting them to cut the sex scenes, too.... not that I am complaining about nudity which in any way, shape, or form involves John Barrowman, of course.

Ugh, and the whole Oswald Danes thing... Makes me sick.

He's so freaking gross. And Jilly Kissinger makes me sick, too - the way she just puts her own sense of right and wrong aside to get results.

Just caught up - but I'm confused as to what all this backstory has to do with the current events.

And as to your spoilered bit, Mya: He really is. I feel like his old attitude was British!Torchwood rather than American!Torchwood. And honestly? I preferred it the British way.
