Re: Hurricane Irene
Cat says the winds now are more hurricane-y than they were when Irene was actually there. So of course now is the time her father chooses to go bbq outside.
She inherited his silliness I think.
Edit/Updates-
They just had a mini tornado now.
And they just saw a baby deer, but his brother and mother were missing.
She says the internet is pretty much dead there so she won't be around for a bit until it's fixed. They're about to eat their special hurricane steaks, hahaha.

Re: Hurricane Irene
Makes sense.
We're starting to get strong winds here too; our lights are flickering a little and you can hear the trees hit stuff.

Yay I'm alive!
Glad the weather's much better here. We were out of power for only a short while but the internet was out pretty much all day. <.<
I worried about all of you! Glad to see everyone's safe. <3

Re: Hurricane Irene
Just passed me up here this morning. Pretty much dead when it got here, too. I just saw this on fb, though
As Hurricane Irene prepares to batter the East Coast, federal disaster officials warn that Internet outages could force people to interact with each other for the first time in years. Residents are bracing themselves for the horror of awkward silences and unwanted eye contact. FEMA advises: “Be prepared. Write down possible topics to talk about in advance. Remember, a conversation is basically a series of Facebook updates strung together.

That's awesome, hahahaha.
Cat sends her love to everyone, she says her internet will likely be out for a while.
*le sigh*

Re: Hurricane Irene
I miss Cat, and think that as a Puff she should be able to bloody well FIND herself a damned internet connection. JS.

Re: Hurricane Irene
I KNOW RIGHT.
I should text her right now even though she's asleep and demand she get on that.
Commands from me and you > sleep.
Obviously.

Obviously. What kind of sad little marshmallow needs sleep, anyway?

Re: Hurricane Irene
Pathetic, indeed.
She deserves a good roasting for that.
You may have to resurrect Evan just so we can have a proper Puff roast.

OhGod. I thought he was gone....
But somewhere deep in the most buried parts of my mind, he just looked up and smirked. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Re: Hurricane Irene
Pans insists she could keep him under control for as long as it would take, and force him back into his hole after she shoves half the fresh roasted Puff in his mouth. I don't know if I should believe her or laugh because she's over-ambitious.
Re: Hurricane Irene
If there's anyone that could get it done, it would be her. It would almost be amusing to watch them go at it and see the bloodshed. Ohjeez, my brains - I now have the best mental image ever of Pansy and Evan ripping apart the entire Puff common room on a marshmallow roast and then turning on each other when it's over.

Re: Hurricane Irene
I'm torn between rolling in laughter, and unchaining my door because Pansy is begging to go over to your head and show Evan what she's made of. So much destruction, I won't subject you to a month of migraines.
Re: Hurricane Irene
Much appreciated. XD
I'm going to go back to burying Evan now. I think I'll concrete him in down there, too.

Re: Hurricane Irene
Awww, there's a thread for the hurricane!
Well...I guess being from NJ, I'll just say that I'm luckily fine and have power. No internet or cable (so yes, family time has been ridiculous and I can't even list the number of board games we've been playing). Somehow the neighbor has wifi, so I'm sitting in a corner to get a little internet update.
I'm glad to hear that everyone is fine <3

Re: Hurricane Irene
Update from Cat:
They have no power (of course now AFTER the hurricane and after they'd emptied out the tubs of water and other things they'd done in case their power got knocked out). So no internet and she has to charge her phone in the car and all that fun stuff. And wander her house with a flashlight at night which she admits is sort of creepy once you have to do it. I told her to pretend she was on Supernatural, but then she went to see a movie with her family and there was a trailer for Paranormal Activity 3 and they had a Bloody Mary thing, and she refuses to go to the bathroom in the dark now because of the mirror. Personally, I don't blame her.
Anyway, no clue when they're getting power back. Her car is stuck in the garage because the door for it won't go up like the ones for her parents cars. But to top it all off, her parents cars have now both been involved in wrecks. Her dad's got rear ended with minimal damage, but her mom's just got hit at the end of their street and is pretty messed up :/ They're all fine though.
Anyway, she's bored out of her mind and lack of power is driving her mad.
Moreso than before.

Re: Hurricane Irene
Bloody hell.
Tell her to grab a bag for her laptop and start walking to school....
And that I am glad they're all ok, at least.

Re: Hurricane Irene
More Cat updates.
The guy who hit her mother's car was some mexican guy with no license, and so no insurance.
Her (Cat's) car insurance ran out today and if the new one doesn't arrive tomorrow then she has no insurance to drive back to school.
She and her mother have currently locked themselves out of their house and are stuck because the only working car is Cat's but it is blocked into the garage by her father's car.
Rotten luck. I told her to escape back to school already.
She might get her power/internet back tonight, but don't know for sure.
UGH
