I TOTALLY NOTICED THAT.

I recognised the place, and was looking for Hermione's scarf... Because they Apparated right near where she tied the scarf on the edge of the forest, that's the exact spot they would have Apparated back to the second time, and Scabior would have probably recognised the smell. I wasn't sure though, it was kinda hard to tell. I wanted to see if anyone else would notice it too, and prove me sane (at least about this).

See, also, yesterday I saw this thing on TV where it was talking about the music, and it had everyone (obviously except Alexandre Desplat.) They were all saying how a score was really important to a movie. Like Nicholas Hooper was saying how Umbridge's Theme from OotP was supposed to be really irritating, but at the same time, really easy to get in your head. It worked. People were mentioning how for CoS with Harry's swipes of Gryffindor's sword that it would be emphasized by the brass, and that essentially became PART of the scene. In DH, I never got that feeling. The beginning and a few other parts was good, and I'm all for the use of silence in a movie, but honestly, this score was flat and barely noticeable. Hedwig's theme WAS only in there once. In the beginning for like two seconds.

Also, Hooper did something really interesting. The quidditch match in the third movie had a score set ot it by Williams. (The one where the dementors came in and his broom got smashed.) Hooper reprised that theme in the sixth movie, except made it lighter and happier. THat's what I really liked about that. Desplat did none of that. You hardly knew that the music was there half the time, and when it was it was just sustained notes in the orchestra.

Yeah - that was one of my favourite things about Hooper, he brought back old themes but they were different. The new music suited the new films, but at the same time, if you listened carefully you could hear where it had come from, which I loved.

Now I want to watch that program - sounds really interesting!
