Werewolves

Does anyone know why werewolves change at night? Because a full moon would be present during the day, it just wouldn't be visible. And there is no such thing as moonlight, just reflected light from the sun. So, why don't werewolves change during the day? Aren't they only werewolves at night by the light of the moon? Which doesn't even make sense because of the whole no moonlight thing.

Also, how did Fenrir hurt Bill so badly is he wasn't transformed? Did he have long fingernails? Did he bite him with human teeth?

Well the moon has other forces. Like tidal flow is contained by it. So it might be that small portion of the moon's pull.

Which is utter bullcrap according to most literature because the wolves slip back when there is no moonlight BUT IMHO it could be rationalized
