An Abandoned Classroom

Caradoc wandered in wearing his torn blue jeans and faux leather vest, gillyweed leaf chain still dangling from his neck, pulled out his wand and conjuring some basic wooden targets, then charming them to move. He then proceeded to blast at them with various spells out of sheer boredom, realizing how long its been since he got a good duel in with anyone. The loud explosions would draw anyone's attention.

Pansy had been wandering the hallways looking for Draco when she heard explosions coming from one of the classrooms. She pushed the door open to see who it was, to decide if she'd whip out the Prefect powers and shout at them, or if she'd stay to watch if they were any good. She'd always wanted to be a better duelist. But she paused in the doorway, realizing she had no idea who this kid was. "Loud much?"

Caradoc instinctively whirled around and pointed his wand at Pansy's chest, but laughed and relaxed when he realized it was just a student, not some evil man eating monster, which he was pretending the targets were at the moment. Or maybe he was just pretending they were vaginas, they're terrifying, don't you know!? "Sorry 'bout that, should've put a silencing charm on the room, I suppose. Don't think I know you yet. The name's Caradoc, call me Rad," he said, offering his hand out to her to shake as he smiled at her.

Seeing as he wasn't wearing school uniform, Pansy wasn't sure what house he was. Definitely not Slytherin by the way he was acting.. a little friend. Probably Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. She tried not to roll her eyes as she held her hand out, taking his very briefly. "Pansy." She glanced around the room, seeing that he'd set up quite the nice little target system. To be practicing outside of class, he must be either he was quite good at this, or quite terrible. "You any good?" She gestured by jerking her head toward one of the targets as it whizzed by.

"Why don't you be the judge, Pansy?" he said with a grin, spinning 'round on heel and blasting all the remaining targets into bits within a matter of three seconds, before slowly pivoting around to face her again. "So, what'll it be? Think I need to practice? Clearly, I think so, as I'm here. Been a while since I was in a real duel. You into that kind of thing? You've got a look about you," he said decidedly, taking in her appearance.

Pansy nodded slowly, as if she was impressed. "Yeah, that was pretty damn horrible." She smirked a little, because until she's bamf, her poker face isn't so fantastic yet. Shame. "A look about me?" She pulled her wand out of her pocket, twisting the dark wood in her fingers. "I do a little."

Caradoc looked extremely amused, half at the fact that this girl was clearly confident, and half at the fact she wasn't swooning over the blonde hunk in front of her-- both points a plus in his book, and he decided immediately that he liked her. "Oh, utterly terrible, I know! Perhaps you could give me a few pointers sometime, since you're clearly the master," he said with a grin.

"Oh, clearly." She crossed her arms and smirked at him, shifting her weight to rest into one hip. "I won't show you now. You'd probably have an aneurism of awesome overload." She nodded seriously, watching out of the corner of her eye as one tiny target he had missed circled by a window. She pulled her attention away from it, taking another look at this Rad fellow. Her eyes dwelled for a bit on his chest and abs, but looked away without issue. She much preferred Draco's sinewy form. No sign of a house affiliation on him, though his necklace was interesting. "What's this?" She asked, walking forward and pointing at his necklace. "Like a little gillyweed in your life?"

Caradoc, who had been watching her gaze, flicked his wand behind him and blasted the target silently, not bothering to turn around and look to see if he'd actually gotten it-- he just knew he had. A grin spread across his face at her words and he shrugged. "Overload of awesome? I'm not sure that's possible, given my own level of utter and complete awesomeosity," he said quite seriously. "As for the gillyweed, why not? A little fun here and there never hurt anyone," he grinned, because it feels awkward to write a post where Caradoc isn't killing something or grinning or both. I'm not sure he has tear ducts...

"Awesomeosity is not a word." She tugged out a chair and took a seat, lazily crossing one leg over the other and tapping her wand on her knee. "But sure, why not. I suppose you're entitled to have as much fun as the next person. Unless you're a Puff. They shouldn't worry about having fun, they've far too much hard work to do to catch up with us Slytherins." She smiled at him, waiting. This would definitely let her know what house he was in for sure.

"I don't see me needing to catch up to you anytime soon, Pansy," he laughed, remaining standing as he leaned against the wall and looked her over-- if she was a Slytherin, surely all he'd heard about them couldn't be true, she didn't seem half bad. "And awesomeosity is most certainly a word, when one has had enough gillyweed. However, I have learned quickly that pronouncing Hufflepuff or Gryffindor while baked is not an easy task in the least. I could take on the giant squid while stoned, but I can't pronounce my own house name," he joked.

"Brilliant. If I should ever find myself stoned, I'll keep that in mind not to disgrace my tongue with such words." Not needing to catch up? Puff it is. Odd though, he wasn't quite as squishy and pathetic as most Puffs were supposed to be. He actually was quite good with spells, which seemed quite strange for a Puff. She narrowed her eyes at him. "That's not much of a feat. The squid's a softie."

"Is he? That's a shame. I'll have to find a real adventure then, though, it was a test run to see if my companion could keep up, really," he said with a fond smile, thinking of his BFF/wingwoman Alice. "Have any recommendations? I'm the kind of guy who likes a challenge," he said with a wide grin, not exactly realizing it sounded like he was flirting, particularly with the way he was meeting Pansy's eyes.

Pansy lifted an eyebrow as she looked at him. "Oh, really?" She tried to sound a bit bored, but she noted the way he was looking at her. Curious. She stood up and walked over to him, staring up at his face as she crossed her arms. "What'd you have in mind?" She hoped he didn't mean her being his challenge, though it would be quite the challenge, as she didn't intend on getting with him at all.

"I don't know, you tell me? What's this place got to offer, besides giant friendly squids? Surely you guys have something awesome hidden in that forest. I also think I remember seeing something about a massive three headed dog being here at some point, though I thought I heard that it was gone now. A pity, now that'd have made a great new pet. Miss my husky," he said with a shrug. "Always did want to fight a manticore without a wand. I'll get there someday," he laughed.

Pansy laughed, quite surprised by him. He didn't try and come on to her, which was... unexpected. She took a step back and tilted her head at him. "You're a strange one, Rad." There was something she liked about him, all his goals for himself and how he was constantly looking for something more to challenge himself. Something about that idea excited her, and she decided that she definitely wanted to better her dueling skills now. She knew enough to do alright, but her range of skills was lacking. Aim and power could only get you so far when all you can do well is a simple expelliarmus, stupefy, and protego.

"Strange? Maybe. Full of awesomeosity? Abso-fuckin'-lutely, Pansy. But it's time I got going, I've got things to do back in my dorm, haven't practiced guitar all day. Been slacking again," he said with a smile. "It was nice to meet you. Hopefully I'll see you around, and you can let me know what monsters are lurking around here for me to try my skills on, Merlin knows I hate nothing more than boredom. Always need to be doing something," he said, using his wand to clean up the room, though right now he's totally thinking about doing someone... -looks at Caradoc's dormitory thread-

Pansy laughed. He wans't bad, for a Puff. "Well, you get on that and I'll make a list of monsters that need a little attitude adjustment. Catch you around, Rad." She left him to finish cleaning his mess, as goodness knows she's not helping clean something she didn't do, and she turned out the door and down the hallway, headed for the common room where she has her talk with Scorp. Yep.

And Caradoc leaves to fantasize about doing naughty things to his roommates. Good grief.

Polly peeks into the abandoned classroom and smiles when she sees it's empty. Walking in, she sets a music player (whatever works around here anyway) down and moves to the center of the room. Using her wand she turns the music player on and soft ballet music fills the air as she starts dancing. She quickly gets lost in the music, closing her eyes and losing all track of time.

Lucius walks in with his pimp cane after talking to Severus for a few minutes, but he had to leave because that guy is just so boring to be around. He smiles when he sees Polly who is so not a french whore like Snape said she was. Psh. What did that greasy virgin know anyway? "Well, hello Polly," he says with a smirk as he leans against the wall with his arms crossed in front of his chest. "You didn't tell me you were a dancer."

[*giggles and creeps*]

OMGSAYWHAAAT? D: Polly kicks Snape's arse.

Polly's startled by the sudden interruption but she doesn't falter in her step. "You didn't ask." She smirked and continued dancing with fluid movement. Her movement brought her close to the music player and she stopped, bending down gracefully to turn it off. "Do you dance?"

Lucius makes a point to check Polly out as she bends over, smirking in approval of what he sees. "I do, actually," he said as he flipped his hair out of his eyes. "I just switched dance studios this summer." Yeah, because he had sex with all the guys at his old studio.
